First RumX meeting. A rather full nose despite the 43%. Dry herbs and vegetal notes first; yellow fruit and young but quite present wood second. The palate is a little diluted, a pity, but the aromas are there, full-bodied and fruity with young wood, dry herbs, yellow fruit and cherry. The finish is surprisingly long, with the same aromas, plus a greedy pastry side. A rum which undoubtedly contains molasses and which I like very much. More subtle and elegant than powerful. It can be compared to Courcelles 1972 or Bally 1970, without reaching their perfection.

27.11.2020 Tasting at this old hotel meeting a lot of new people. Notes Dark in colour. Nose Fresh, elegant, light wood, spices, sugarcane, light citrus, cherry, light floral. Palate Round, balanced, light, light wood, sugarcane, light vegetal, spices, orange. Finish Medium long, light, light wood, orange, light vegetal.

8,3:On the nose, herbaceous sugarcane, flowery, peppery, nutty wood, citrus and yellow fruits, perhaps cherry, bump into our nosetrils. On aeration, the cane is fresh with tea, waxy, some dried fruits arise. 8,5:On the palate, the attack is tasty, slightly dry, with sugarcane juice, honey, grassy and flowery, slightly metallic, the wood is spicy, various fruits are present like dried apricots, raisins, later grapes and dried figs, as the cane becomes mineral and waxy. 8,4:The finish is long, dry&tannic, the cane is mineral, vegetal, syrupy, the wood is spicy, nutty and fruits dried..

RumX community meeting, October 8, 2025. So the nose is really unexpectedly fruity for an Agricole, especially cherry is noticeable. On the palate then more Agricole, here it also becomes spicy and oaky.
