CDI Secret Australia 2007
Australian rum is rare, and this one tastes the part: pear and green apple with a fruit-schnapps edge, like Williams pear brandy that spent a few years in a cask. The nose can be off-putting — solventy and ester-heavy — but the palate turns floral and dry. The recurring gripe: it's thin, and several wished for "paar % mehr" punch.
- Unusual fruit profile
- Pear and apple
- Pleasantly dry

How does CDI Secret Australia 2007 taste?
Aggregated from 32 community reviews.
Fruity, dry, but thin Aussie oddity Most find it an interesting, fruity oddity — pear, apple, raspberry — but agree it's thin and one-note at 43%. Worth trying for the rarity, not a regular pour.

Interesting floral nose that gives hope for something good, but then very flat on the palate. In principle, an interesting profile but not sufficiently pronounced, so that in the end except for an extremely mild ginger-pear flavor not much remains. Burns slightly on the tongue although it is otherwise extremely mild.

🍐als würde Williams pear brandy in Agricole barrel mature a few years. in addition, some mirabelle, honey, nutmeg and very dry and yet pleasant. no high-flyer but for Australia a relaxed sipper and nice fruity. Could only have a few % more.

Not really interesting, rather boring. But also nothing that would disturb so badly. You can drink it, but you don't have to.
