Cadenhead's Green Label Jamaican Rum
Lighter and rounder than the Jamaican label suggests — this one keeps the esters in check. The nose shows pineapple, mango and a faint whiff of glue; the palate leans ripe tropical fruit with young wood and a touch of spice. At 46% it drinks easy, and several members call it a gentle, approachable Jamaican rather than a funk bomb. A good first pot-still for people wary of full-on hogo.

Hard to say which distillery this could be. But I would still lean more towards Long Pond than Hampden or Worthy Park. Overall, it would be much better if it hadn't been reduced. But after trying one Cadenhead after another, you get used to it. Very drinkable at this strength.

Shows a classic but gentle Jamaica profile with ripe fruit, vanilla and a fine spice. On the nose banana, pineapple and some caramel, accompanied by a subtle wood note. On the palate balanced with fruit, sweet wood and light herbal notes, the alcohol is noticeable but well integrated. The finish is medium-length, warm and pleasantly dry. A solid, typical Jamaican rum without extreme esters but with clear origin and balance.

Color: Straw gold Nose: Jamaica flair, esters, glue (light), fruits. Palate: A bit astringent at first. Then immediately fruity, slightly rusty, typical Jamaica notes of pineapple. Conclusion: Excellent CH GL Jamaica. Even with only 46% it’s nicely complex and typically Jamaican. More LP than HD, but who really knows that 100% ;)

Could be a Hampden HLCF or a Long Pond.

Sweet with really low profile

Lots of tropical fruit aromas, some wood and spices, stable sweetness - a very familiar picture from Jamaican regions. Operating at a high level without surprising with extraordinary finesse - a very good release, I guess Hampden.

Pineapple banana with a bit of ester. Alcohol not nicely integrated. Unfortunately too one-dimensional for me.

Very round, nice Jamaican. Lots of tropical fruits, little ester. Almost no wood. Therefore very good as an entry-level. I like it extremely due to the round taste. Of course nothing extraordinary but it just tastes good. Thumbs up
