A typical and nicely balanced Agricole. I would have loved a higher ABV though. Draws really nice curtains on the glass. Price to quality can be argued.

Fruity, woody (+++) and roasted notes. Apricot, peach and a touch of cherry. There's a slight bitterness that's not unpleasant on the finish.

Advent calendar La Route des Rhums 2023 No. 24. The last one :-( Here the La Salle from Saint James. Woody and toasty on the nose with a hint of mint. On the palate, the mint also comes out well. Better than the average 43%.

Definitely Martinique but rather a dad's rum. Quite consensual, rather focused on dried fruits, spices, leather, tobacco... You can feel the age. The 43° makes it not very expressive, lacking character. You can tell Saint James is trying here to position itself in the same segment as JM's leather labels.

Really very good, classic style. But too expensive, I would have guessed between 80 and 120€. Tasted Avent 2023 n24. Very good rich thick nose of candied fruits and a bit of wood. Palate also consistent with a nice explosion, on prune, very round, fatty, sweetness. Very good length with leather, wood, well anchored prunes. A true classic success, but the price....

Very nice tasting experience. More aromatic on the nose than on the palate. However, the price seems a little overpriced. This can only be explained by a rather confidential production.
