Berry Bros & Rudd Bellevue Guadeloupe « Specially Selected by and for The Nectar » 1998
Despite being labeled Guadeloupe, this Bellevue 1998 doesn't drink like a grassy agricole — it's rounder and more dessert-leaning. Expect raisins, dark chocolate, caramel and tropical fruit with a light, smoky oak. One taster called the palate oily and well balanced, with banana and fresh mint trailing into the finish. At 47.9%, it's fruity and gentle rather than fierce.

Fruity, chocolatey 19-year Bellevue sipper Most find it fruity, rounded and easy to sip, with chocolate, caramel and noble wood. A couple note the palate runs slightly thin and the alcohol could integrate better.

just a hair thin on the palate but ultra sessionable. reminds me of a lighter version of SLDs heavy style. Savanna vibes in the finish too.

The alcohol could be a little better integrated. Taste otherwise nice fruity, typical profile of a Bellevue 98.

The nose is fat and seductive. We find chocolate and roasted notes. It is rather fresh and powerful despite the fact that we are "only" at 47.9%. And it is very fruity (apple-dry fruit-tropical fruit). We validate, let's go to the tasting! In the mouth it is perfectly dosed. The fruitiness of the nose is present (pineapple, banana, red fruits ...) but to a lesser extent than the nose (as is often the case with agricultural products). Coffee, chocolate, burnt sugar and beautiful noble wood (not the one from Ikea). The finish is rather complex and exciting on ripe banana and fresh mint.

Anotjer nice tasting i went to but didn't have the time to add here until now. The nose is very fruity with nuts and caramel and a hint of grass. The palate tales off where the nose ended and this one should be rested because it actually evolves both on the nose and palate. Again fruity with smoky wood, caramel and vanilla are trailing and at the end a hint of tobacco. The palate is oily and very well balanced. The finish is medium long with wood, dried fruit and caramel.

Un joli rhum de Guadeloupe ( mêlasse certainement ). Un nez assez doux rond et gourmand ! Un boisé léger ! En bouche c’est un peu épicé, caramel un poil de réglisse et assez gourmand Une Jolie sélection !
