nice acid-sweet balance, the smoked dates and the burnt wood add a nice firecracker aroma and the finish is just fun. an honest unsweetened spiced rum that is second to none!

Not a fan of spiced rums. This smells like a rummy Jagermeister. Ugh. Taste is slightly better. Some dryness. Some sweet white wine. Still too sweet, but not jagermeister sweet. Cough syrope. Acidic. Probably okaish compared to most spiced rums. But still...not my cup of tea.

18.07.2020 A nice tasting at my friend's place including a nice dinner. Notes Medium dark in colour. Nose Fresh, light wood, light smoke, fruity, orange, light caramel. Palate Light, light wood, lightly sweet, light smoke, fruity, light orange, clove, faint caramel. Finish Medium long, light wood, lightly sweet, fruits, dried fruit.

The best spiced rum I have drunk so far! The additional sweetness and fruitiness (due to the added dates) blends very well into the rum, not comparable with other spiced rums, which often have a certain strangeness compared to pure rum!
