Sip it neat and you get a fresh, grassy cane-juice nose — citrus, hay, a little olive and ester funk that reads like an agricole from somewhere unexpected (it's from Sangar in Ghana, not Martinique). The palate is floral and fruity with a flash of smoke, but at 40% most tasters find it thinned out and one-note. Pleasant and easy; light on power.

Fair rating: Good unaged rum. Lots of sugarcane. Alcohol barely noticeable. Definitely a blast in a drink. Edit: In a drink, a real blast. The 5-year aged one is a whole different level, but unfortunately not sold yet.

Blind tasting #1: on the nose clearly cane juice. Rather nice with tropical fruits. Might be Agricole or something more exotic. On the palate: woah - no Agricole, I think… some sweetness, a watered down feel, bitterness towards the end. Some fruits are present but cannot save the overall score. Johannes Bild Tasting. Many thanks for this opportunity! 😊 Great grassy and hay notes. Despite the additional light citrus notes the rum feels quite one-dimensional. The strong dilution makes the rum easy to drink. Probably too little power as a mixer.

Blind tasting series by Johannes.... This should be an unaged Agricole. With relatively low alcohol, which makes it soft, light and very drinkable. The vegetal side is strongly pronounced and clearly perceptible to me. I guess Martinique or Guadeloupe. Edit: Except for the region/country I was right

Many thanks Johannes for this blind tasting. # No1 Nose Agricole undisputed... very fresh and fruity. Citrus fruits, some esters... very floral. Palate Nice sweetness, again plenty of citrus fruits and plant notes... just a bit gentler than the nose suggests. Alcohol not really noticeable, I think max 40%. I quite like it.

Artur's weird and white tasting. The last 3, thanks for the opportunity to try these. And lastly, an unaged rum in the Agricole style. It's very vegetal and floral, also very fresh with a hint of olive on the nose.

On the nose, you can detect slight parallels to Mhoba or Ghana rums. Lots of fruit, but also olive and ester funk. On the palate, citrus fruits like lime and orange come through, but also strangely grain and hay. Slightly damp and musty, like rotten wood. Unfortunately, it also definitely seems too watered down. The 60% overproof (which will come later) can definitely do more here. Plus a slight saltiness. Not bad but also not really great yet, unfortunately just too thin at 40%. Definitely try the 60% at the booth, it's much more interesting and intense. Here the alcohol is surprisingly well integrated. Unfortunately not officially on the market yet. Just like the 5-year-old...

#7336 20.09.2026 Relaxing with some samples after a relaxing day. Watching Myth Busters on Amazon Prime. Very nice price tag and a surprisingly good rum. Medium intense profile with grass, sugarcane, fruits, glue, polish, ester, light smoke, floral, olive, salt and a short but dry finish.

Very young, fruit-forward nose reminiscent of Ti Punch. On the palate, some wood and spices come through, but everything remains very smooth and drinkable. The alcohol is perfectly integrated. Blind, it seems like a very young, diluted rum with pleasantly fresh aromas.

Dunderhut White blind tasting. The nose is somewhere between funky and sweet, with vegetables and some chemical note, rather earthy too. The palate is rather smoky, would have said this is unaged peated whisky, more probably this is from mexico

A mild white rum made from sugarcane juice. For me, it's been reduced way too much. Unfortunately, it's one-dimensional here. But it's mild and approachable. A good entry into the world of unaged Agricoles.

Blind tasting set from Johannes (thanks for that): This is definitely a sugarcane juice product. Agricole style, but not from the French islands. First guess: South Africa. Briefly thought of Haiti, but then discarded. The nose is still quite interesting, but unfortunately a bit disappointing on the palate, as it's way too thin.

The first guess was indeed in the right direction: an Agricole from Asia or some other atypical country. Definitely usable as a mixer for a Daiquiri, but neat, not really my thing. Overall, it feels rather thin and watered down.

The poor man's Veritas, some kind of Bacardi knock of and worthy park notes of banana. I have no clue what this is, but it rather works a bit for me. It tastes like a filtered rum but that is not necessarily bad. Kudos for whatever this is
