#7292 13.09.2026 Running a few samples after my bike training to try and loosen up my stiff legs. Watching the TV series The Last Woodsmen. Really nice Uitvlugt and it had a good price tag at release. Intense proile with molasses, caramel, roasted wood, fruits, spice, nuts, chocolate, pencil, shavings, polish, tannins and a dry peppery palate.

Dude, you can seriously hold your nose 20 meters away from the glass and still notice that this is an Uitvlugt :) You don't need much with these really musty, but tasty, rums :)

On the nose: Woody, medicinal, licorice/anise, roasted and leather notes. Light leather and tea notes. Taste: Anise, woody, roasted, some pencil shavings notes with medicinal note. Spices on the background and light tea notes. In overall the palate is leaning to darker notes, but the notes are nicely blended together. Finish: Woody, earthy and herbal. Dry. Medium finish. Pretty good notes concidering the low abv. I didn't notice the sherrycask influence at any point and that might be good thing in my opinion because they usually overtake the rum, however the palate could have used some fruity or citrus notes.

15y aging left some woody, pencil, floral and medicinal notes, leather, cherry and anise, rather low abv but quite complex but not my favorite juice
