Solid rum. I like it very much and am curious to see what else comes out of the distillery.

Nose is mostly peaty but also vegetal, olive and black tea. The palate is dry and a little bitter and aside from a little peat I struggle to get much else. The finish remains dry and bitter. It comes across like a young peaty whiskey to me. The nose is interesting (although peaty flavours aren’t my thing) and that’s probably where my enjoyment of this starts and ends. Nevertheless I appreciate it being a genuine rum.

Nosing Toffee, mango , liquorice & almonds Tasting Honey , cloves , toffee I had this neat and imagine it goes Fantastic in a cocktail due to its sweetness on the taste

Read full review →Hints of tar and a slightly salty briny note, as well. Similar to Old Salt from the English Spirit Distillery but a bit more refined. A really good first effort. A really nice flavourful pot still rum with a really nice balance and complexity for what is a pretty young...
