Overall very tasty. Sweet rum with strong vanilla aroma. Very good for dessert or on a cold day by the fireplace. Still, the rum is very mild. You can enjoy it well. The finish is long but extremely mild. A clear purchase recommendation.

Also with this Spirit of Old Man you have to suspect not only sugar but also added aromas. Overall quite coherent though. Vanilla, cinnamon and cake dough. So basically Christmas cookies. The finish is a bit like rum aroma for baking, weird.

This was in my rum Christmas calendar. The rum is mild, soft, caramel, vanilla and very sweet. Unfortunately tastes like hundreds of others. Perfect for beginners. For me too sweet. Therefore no recommendation from me.

The name says it all: Vanilla. It smells like a candy store with all kinds of sweets. The flavors in the mouth are disappointingly monotonous and overly sweet, not much to say about it. Even as an entry-level rum, there are probably better alternatives.

For me a good rum, leaning strongly towards sweet, vanilla, cream candy. I perceive the slight fruit note as banana. No spice aromas on the nose, then a pleasant slight tingling on the tongue in the mouth.
