This is a molasses Beenleigh full of yellow orchard fruit — mirabelle plum first, then apple, pear and citrus — with cedar, black pepper and a light herbal-mineral streak underneath. A couple of members catch a touch of ester funk. At 54.8% the alcohol runs edgy neat, so give it a rest in the glass and a few drops of water to open the fruit.

I'm getting further and further back on my reviews due to a lot of work. But I'd never say no to a tasting :-) This is a great Beenleigh but it's very important that this one rests for a good while in order to get all the flavours. Once sampled the first time, try to add a few drops of water, the you really get flavours. The nose intense with molasses, roasted oak and varnish in the front trailed by vanilla, raisin and herbal notes. I also get a light mineral note. The palate is lightly sweet with roasted oak and spices, grass, and varnish trailed by fruit, toffee and herbal notes. The finish is medium long with oak, spices and dried fruits.

very tasty full proof Australia!👌🏽 blind I would never ever have come here on Australia, rather Trinidad or so.on the nose blackberry, tobacco, dark chocolate, raisin, some cassis with mint. taste then thick mocha, with mint, cocoa, grapefruit peel as well as tobacco. somewhere comes a slight association with grappa. in the finish then thick and smooth like maple syrup with coffee and dark chocolate, some mint and raisin, as well as vanilla and grape to it. very tasty!

Australia Advent Calendar 2025 (9). A sweet, fruity nose of overripe yellow fruit, vegetal rope, apple and cedar wood. A beautiful, well-defined palate. The apple of the nose is again present, but fuller. Still cedarwood and vegetal. The finish is moderately long and the sour apples linger. A fine rum with very well-integrated alcohol.

Weiß nicht was ich von diesem Beenleigh halten soll. Ist jedenfalls pfefferig, holzig und röstig in der Nase. Am Gaumen dann auch sehr pfefferig, Holz und Vaniöle sind auch gut erkennbar, außerdem leicht säurig und kräuterig.

aus Artur‘s Kalender: erster Eindruck: der gefällt mir ziemlich gut, mit ordentlich gelben Frühchten (vor allem Mirabelle), und ein leichter Oliven-Ansatz (wie bei PM). Am Gaumen ein wenig wie ein Obstler, dazu Fass, röstig, Tannine.

Franconian Tasting Gang Tasting at Jarek's. Basically a solid rum from Australia, although it should be noted that this one belongs to the higher-priced representatives from Australia. I've had better for less money in the glass.

Tasted again today alongside the Beenleigh from The Bottle Shop (RX24349). As expected, both are very similar. Both with nice honey sweetness, mirabelle, eucalyptus. But the Bottle Shop has clearly more power and therefore I like it a bit better today.

Dunderhuts Advent Calendar Australia Nose is quite fruity, floral, somewhat alcoholic. In the mouth it is strong at first, slightly sweetish, but then wood nestles in; nice finish. I also like the last sip very much.

Artur's Advent Calendar Australia: With regard to the last few days, definitely a qualitative step backwards across the board, as it is quite unspectacular. Herbal/earthy on the nose with a hint of caramel. Vegetable and quite sweet on the palate with a mixture of sugar cane and honey, plus a hint of undefined fruit. Very long, slightly sweet finish. The alcohol lingers from nose to finish

A pleasant 2007 Beenleigh, which unfortunately comes across relatively light. The nose is pleasantly fruity, which is confirmed on the tongue and palate with light, yellow fruits, mirabelle, a bit of citrus fruits. In the finish a slight coolness like menthol rises, but it has to bravely fight against a rather edgy present alcohol. Missing punch and a light-footed finish weaken the overall impression, otherwise certainly a good bottling.

Al naso molto funky con forte note di esteri e solventi. Bella speziatura che viene ripresa anche in bocca. Con due gocce d’acqua esce fuori la mela cotta, la banana e l’ albicocca. Rum molto interessante come del resto tutto ciò che imbottiglia valinch and Mallet.

Artur’s Aussie Advent, day 9: Hopelessly late in a way to busy week. Floral and crispy fruitiness with a grassy note to it as well. Alcohol is present but at the same time quite well integrated. Good but not “very good”, hence for me just below 8

this Coetus Amicorum has reconciled me with Australia. This is a molasses rum distilled on a still in 2007 (secret distillery) and bottled in BDF at 54.8% in 2020 in 328 copies by bottler Valinch.

The aroma is extremely complex, deep, and voluminous. It’s like a blend of red fruits, white fruits, and well-aged Armagnac... simply a wonderful scent. The taste is equally impressive, with a light acidity and well-balanced sweetness that tightens the palate.
