A1710 La Perle 2020
People who already like white agricole and its raw, briny side will feel at home here. This unaged Martinique cane-juice rum leads with explosive fresh sugarcane, then citrus, salty iodine and a steady peck of pepper. A few tasters also catch olives, coriander and even truffle. At 54.5% it still sips cleanly, and it turns fierce in a daiquiri.

How does A1710 La Perle 2020 taste?
From community reviews · summarized with AI
Fresh, briny white agricole with real punch Loved by agricole fans for its punchy cane, iodine and pepper. Several drink it neat despite the strength; others say it truly shows off shaken into a daiquiri. Not one for sweet-rum drinkers.

18.09.2025 Received a box of white/unaged samples yesterday with many new, but also rums I have tried before. Retasting and still find this one really good, especially when looking at the price tag. ------------------ Considering the price tag this is a very nice rum. You get a lot for your money actually. The nose is fresh, well rounded and fruity with sugarcane and light floral and medicinal notes. The palate is fresh and well balanced with fruit and sugarcane trailed by pepper and a light medicinal note. Some may consider the palate spicy as well. The finish is medium to long, warm and fruity with sugarcane. Price to quality is extremely good.

Light touch of heat up front, it it dissipates. Fruity rum with banana and coconut notes on the palette with a smooth and creamy mouthfeel.

A rum tasted at Rhum Fest in 2024. The nose is highly aromatic, with lots of fruit, citrus and herbaceous notes. The palate is marked by lemon and other citrus fruits, with a spiciness that is not very present on the nose. A very fine rum marked by its distinctive aromas.

whacky. Green olives, fresh coriander, iodine, polish, and unripe strawberries on the nose. then in the taste salty, fruity, bitter, bacon & olives and then again strawberries and coriander and pineapple. actually reminds me of those pineberrys (a white strawberry cross that tastes like pineapple). pretty cool! in the finish everything repeats again with X types of pepper and overripe strawberry with cilantro and bacon. reminds me a bit of mexican cuisine 😅 in the daiquiri he then comes really fat and shows what Martinique can! 💪⚡

A really very original and rather successful rum.

As always, the whites from this distillery are very good. Fermented cane, brine, vegetal but gourmand at the same time, with truffle mixed with sugar.

Tasted alongside the blanc baie des trésors, the pearl is an explosion of sweetness. On the nose, the sugarcane reveals itself like a candy, with a second note of a slight 'hay' smell that reminds of cane debris fermenting in the sun. The palate is faithful to the nose with however the appearance of some citrus aromas. Balanced, it drinks easily neat even with its 54%. Neat, I actually prefer it to the baie des trésors which remains excellent.

Strange smell of gas oil on opening, then truffle and banana on oxidation! Powerful but very dry on the palate, with a fruity finish.

👃Nose: A gourmand nose where the cane is explosive. Very floral, then iodized notes, beautiful mineral touches and a bit earthy. Finally, a hint of citrus sublimates the whole. ~ 👄Palate: The attack is powerful and round. All the nose is found in the palate. The cane and iodine are very present, giving way to a fruity note, then mineral, all constantly enhanced by a hint of pepper. ~ ✨Finish: Warm, peppery, then ending with a long and gourmand cane.
