Habitation du Simon A1710 La Perle 2020
People who already enjoy rhum agricole blanc are the right audience here — this Martinique white leans into raw sugarcane "comme un bonbon," with citrus, floral lift and a clear iodine/mineral streak. The palate is round but salty and peppery, with green olive and underripe strawberry notes some tasters pick up. At 54.5% it drinks surprisingly well neat, and it sings in a daiquiri.
- Explosive fresh cane
- Mineral, briny character
- Great in daiquiris

Review by Kevin Sorensen 🇩🇰
Considering the price tag this is a very nice rum. You get a lot for your money actually. The nose is fresh, well rounded and fruity with sugarcane and light floral and medicinal notes. The palate is fresh and well balanced with fruit and sugarcane trailed by pepper and a light medicinal note. Some may consider the palate spicy as well. The finish is medium to long, warm and fruity with sugarcane. Price to quality is extremely good.

Review by Mc Pirate

A rum tasted at Rhum Fest in 2024. The nose is highly aromatic, with lots of fruit, citrus and herbaceous notes. The palate is marked by lemon and other citrus fruits, with a spiciness that is not very present on the nose. A very fine rum marked by its distinctive aromas.

whacky. Green olives, fresh coriander, iodine, polish, and unripe strawberries on the nose. then in the taste salty, fruity, bitter, bacon & olives and then again strawberries and coriander and pineapple. actually reminds me of those pineberrys (a white strawberry cross that tastes like pineapple). pretty cool! in the finish everything repeats again with X types of pepper and overripe strawberry with cilantro and bacon. reminds me a bit of mexican cuisine 😅 in the daiquiri he then comes really fat and shows what Martinique can! 💪⚡
