Liquid Treasures Diamond 2008
Whisky drinkers curious about Demerara pot-still should meet this one. It's an unusually fresh, almost agricole-like Port Mourant — sour white grapes, smoke, brine and a distinct Islay-like maritime edge that had one taster reaching for Bowmore comparisons. At 60.3% it packs real alcoholic punch, though several found it well carried. Only a "small touch of sweetness" from the refill cask. Challenging, and proud of it.

How does Liquid Treasures Diamond 2008 taste?
Aggregated from 13 community reviews.
Fresh, smoky Port Mourant with an Islay streak Divides the room: most call it a fresh, smoky, briny PM worth the ride, while one found it too bitter and medicinal. Not a gentle sipper.

small touch of sweetness coming from the cask. prefer a slightly more austere PM but still very good.

We're on a nose after mowing the lawn. PMs are always special, with all the traditional markers present: smoky, burnt, woody. It's not crazy, but you want to try it. On the palate, it's fat and smoky. It's close to certain whiskies. It's long, but not long enough for my taste, with herbaceous notes. It's always nice to dive back into a PM, but I still have my unrivalled personal reference of L'Esprit en PM.

Salty/briny/coastal PM. Smoky with some sweetness from dark fruits in the background. Finish is more vegetal, I like the journey! And the label as well :-)

Tasted it blind. Very untypical Port Mourant. Fresh like an agricole. Probably refill cask. I get a Cognac-y feel from it. Sour white grapes. Lot of alcoholic punch but not unpleasant. Cool stuff.

Typischer, etwas biestiger PM.
