Liquid Treasures Diamond 2008
People who chase Port Mourant's smoky, salty side will recognize this one fast — burnt wood, brine, sour white grapes and a peaty edge that several tasters compared to an Islay whisky like Bowmore. At 60.3% it carries a real alcoholic punch, with just a touch of sweetness from the cask. One reviewer called it "very untypical PM," fresh and almost agricole-like.
- Salty, smoky PM
- Sour white grapes
- Whisky-like character

How does Liquid Treasures Diamond 2008 taste?
Aggregated from 13 community reviews.
Smoky, briny PM that drinks like Islay whisky Most find this a classic, slightly "biestiger" PM — smoky, briny, dry, very whisky-like. A couple loved the Cognac-y grape note; one found it too bitter and medicinal.

small touch of sweetness coming from the cask. prefer a slightly more austere PM but still very good.

We're on a nose after mowing the lawn. PMs are always special, with all the traditional markers present: smoky, burnt, woody. It's not crazy, but you want to try it. On the palate, it's fat and smoky. It's close to certain whiskies. It's long, but not long enough for my taste, with herbaceous notes. It's always nice to dive back into a PM, but I still have my unrivalled personal reference of L'Esprit en PM.

Salty/briny/coastal PM. Smoky with some sweetness from dark fruits in the background. Finish is more vegetal, I like the journey! And the label as well :-)

Tasted it blind. Very untypical Port Mourant. Fresh like an agricole. Probably refill cask. I get a Cognac-y feel from it. Sour white grapes. Lot of alcoholic punch but not unpleasant. Cool stuff.

Typischer, etwas biestiger PM.
