It’s a great Rhum, but it don’t reaches the level of the precursor, the XO Hors d’Age Grenadier. The nose is aromatic and fruity with aromas of vanilla. At the palate it’s complex, round, sweet, woody and spicy with flavors of vanilla and cinnamon.

A rum tasted at the Rhum Fest in 2024. A soft nose with agricultural markers and fruits but also soft caramel which brings a lot of sweetness. The palate is on citrus, a light woodiness, vegetal notes and always a bit of sweetness.

#5036 08.01.2025 Enjoying a few samples at home. Nose Light wood, spice, plums, dried fruit, sugarcane, light earthy, cinnamon, faint nutts. Palate Light wood, faint smoke, fruits, light tannins, medium spicy, vanilla, faint mint, dried fruits. Finish Medium long, round, wood, cinnamon, light tannins, spice, light sugarcane. The empty glass has wood, light tobacco, light cherry and some vegetal notes. Price to quality it pretty good in my mind.

Spirituosenzirkus 24.05.2024 Very similar in flavor profile to Brut de Fut 2013. A bit less strong, obviously. For the price a hit, can recommend to any beginner.

Quickly tasted at the Rhumfest. Good Martinique XO at a really nice price. But I think this is not what I would buy for this type of product. I would spend about fifteen euros more and go for HSE or La Mauny, more to my taste for XOs.

I don't like it that much, expected more. On the nose and palate you can detect a slight vanilla and caramel note. But I find it quite agricole-heavy and it has a weird, bitter aftertaste.

Great Agricole as an entry-level or for relaxed enjoyment. Harmonious on the nose: woody, spicy, caramel, chocolate, fruity. Intense enough on the palate, again balanced and easy to drink. Delicious roasted aromas come in on the finish, with cask notes lasting long.

A discreet rum, unfortunately the alcoholic part on the palate is a bit too exuberant. On the nose it is a bit more nuanced. It has interesting scents but it is certainly not the best agricole rum you can drink. Of course, the price cannot be ignored. The quality-price ratio is indeed very good.

An entry-level Dillon quite correct. The nose is concentrated on agricultural and earthy notes, spices, wood, caramel and a hint of fruit. Relatively soft on the palate, this Dillon nevertheless offers a nice balance between fruit, spices and caramel. The finish, on the same tones, is moderately long. The 9 years of aging have allowed the creation of a controlled and balanced rum, moreover for a very affordable price. Very good to start in the agricultural rum universe.

A very good XO surely underrated! I totally understand the gold medal at the agricultural contest, it’s balanced but has character: lots of wood, fruits, spices. Ultimately average but satisfying!

It's clearly marked by the cask for the price! What stands out first is this nice dry wood (toasted) which leans towards Cognac bringing rather soft spices (Cinnamon / Vanilla / Licorice / Pepper) with dried fruits, tropical and orchard fruits (Apricot / Apple / Grapes / Prunes / Coconut / Mango) as well as a little treat (Pastry / Gingerbread / Caramelized Apple / Honeyed). Under this wood, the cane is present bringing its freshness (Citrus / Herbal). Very good value for money rum.

Tasted at the Rum Schnacker Club Tasting 2026 The best of the tasting. Such a beautiful nose with fruits, slightly fermented and a hint of RedBull (no joke) On the palate banana, orange, subtle wood, mineral and sugarcane. Alcohol very well integrated A great Agricole.

Avent 2023 n10. A good woody rum in mocha coffee wood and a bit of vanilla. Consistent, round and soft. Good length, simply to my good tastes without breaking any bricks. So mainly a very good value for money at €38.

This is my first real enjoyment of aged agricole. I once tried a small sip of Clement. But now for real. A bit of an acquired taste. Fresh fruity aroma and flavor. But also quite woody. Reminds me a lot of armagnac or cognac. Also peppery strong. Slightly agricole, sugarcane aroma. Well made, balanced but no sensation. A bit wintry maybe.
