Super tasty Spanish rum. Very similar to Travellers from Belize. Roasty, chocolaty, woody, sweet seeming, definitely a round thing. Quite spicy and sharp in the mouth due to the high alcohol content, some water helps. Overall delicious and I'm always amazed at what Spanish rum can do.

incredibly tasty and sweet cask strength Venezuela rum.beautiful notes of sour sweet blackberry, sweet juicy peach, maple syrup, dark chocolate, cinnamon, vanilla bean, light salt notes, not too much wood, some roasted almonds and slight associations to cognac. very harmonious and absolutely recommended!🤤

The unexpected of this tasting. A Hispanic type of rum. They are rare the Ron in brut de fut. They are usually found in solera mode. And it's a pity because this 2008 Venezuela (11 years old) at 63,1% is a nice surprise. Already the color alone: wahoo. In the mouth and on the nose we have the sweetness, the roundness, the unctuousness of the ron. But with this brut de fût, we have the right to a nice long finish. And that is good and cool 👌. Good job!

A nose that evolves from pastry to vegetable and spices. The mouth is quite interesting, with still a rather round attack to evolve towards spices. Evolution and quite original profile!

Lots of (milk) chocolate, relatively much sweetness, vanilla, slightly spicy and some wood. Remains somewhat one-dimensional, but is nevertheless a well-rounded bottling that stands out positively from the representatives of the Spanish style.

Wow, totally unexpected. Has real power and flavor! Nice sweetness, chocolaty, spicy and just delicious! Please more of it, then I still become a fan of the Spanish style. 🤓Crazy how good a Botucal can taste. 😜

Beautiful Venezuela. Wood, vanilla, nice and strong. Great Spanish style.

Because it has been mentioned frequently in the forum as a positive example of the Spanish style, I've now had it in a glass. Yes, not sugary and not completely boring either. A better Spaniard ... but I don't have to have it again. Column profile with peppery notes alongside wood, vanilla and chocolate. Alcohol

Not impressed, but not offended. Wood and caramel, for me not expressive
