Here's the surprise: this unaged white blend drinks fuller and rounder than you'd expect at 61%. It's a Jamaica-meets-Réunion ester bomb — overripe banana and pineapple, funky fruit, a green olive and medicinal edge from the Savanna side. Several tasters catch that faint metallic, unaged note. Most reach for it in a daiquiri, though a few happily sip it slow with a drop of water.

You get a lot for your money whether you drink it pure, be sure to rest it for a good while, or in a Coca Cola where it also shines. The nose is funky with fruit, grass, ester, solvents and light vanilla. The palate is also intense, funky and fruity with ester, gras and very light vanilla. The finish is very long and fruity with spices and a touch of grass. Mixes very well with a Coca Cola!

Mega blend of Hampden and Savanna at a terrific price-performance ratio. Extremely complex for a white rum. Fruity, floral and funky. Great in cocktails such as Daiquiri and Maitai.

Back then won a sample set including an online tasting in a RumX raffle. Unfortunately, I have to say that neat this one is not really my thing. Tried the rest of the sample with cola, and there it makes a good figure. Successful as a mixer and available at a fair price.

Blend Jam / Réunion with LP / HMP / MNM / Savannah (20%). This rum sends us directly a dose of overripe fruits (tropical and some red fruits) with a touch of freshness (ginger / lemon). This contrasts strongly with the heavy empyreumatic and dark character of this rum (meat / smoke / tar / hot metal / rubber). Réunion, in addition to the big vegetal side (hay / fresh / green pepper), brings us green olives in brine, rather iodized, which also contrasts a lot with the Jamaican juices. We find a hint of indulgence with a small burnt cream side that makes its place with the very present spices (vanilla / nutmeg / clove / licorice / cinnamon). Interesting blend since we can rather well feel the two terroirs. Will they go well together?

What a bomb! One of the best unaged rums I've had and at an unbeatable price. Really fun neat with a combination of Jamaican funk and Savanna fruit. And the olive note you find in some Jamaican overproofs is subtle enough here that it doesn't bother me. Only the slight bacon note in the finish bothers me a bit. In drinks the rum is also sensational, both in a Daiquiri and as an add-on in a Mai Tai.

Nice mix of two ester bombs that go well neat but also kick in a Daiquiri (and other drinks)! Jamaica (Hampden?) and Réunion (Savanna!) and thus two strong high-ester representatives create a blend that, despite the lack of aging, is quite full and broad. For me personally, the Savanna aromas are a bit too dominant, especially on the palate, but overall still a nice unaged blend!

The relationship between Hampden and ReUnion is balanced. It is still quite spicy and very fruity dominant. Unfortunately, it still tastes a bit metallic because it is not aged. A good mixer, but here it lost most of the berry flavors. I would like to express my gratitude to Rum Artesanal for the flavor sets 🙏🏻

Even though the term 'Single Blended Rum' on the label is obviously nonsense for a blend from two different countries or distilleries, the rum itself definitely isn't. Not only a dream in a Daiquiri, I also like this appealing variety of aromas with tropical notes and red berries neat, without noticeable solvent or biomass waste components, really good.

Sensational nose. I felt like Hampden jumped right at me. Love at first sight. Surprisingly, the palate was much more floral with dark/blue fruits. Reminds me of Le Galion. Medicinal notes are also present, plenty of power. Definitely great for drinks!

This blend is an assembly of white rums from 2 origins: 80% Jamaica (Long Pond – Monymusk and Hampden) and 20% from Reunion Island (Savanna). The ester content is 444 g/hpaa (the different origins varying from 200 g/hpaa to 1200 g/hpaa). This 2020 vintage was bottled at 61% for 2000 bottles. So what to say about this union between a High Ester rum from Jamaica and Reunion? Nose: not very surprising, esters galore, ripe fruits and a hint of strawberry. Palate: very fruity, spices and some herbal notes. Despite the 61%, it's very well integrated and pleasant to taste neat. Even if its primary vocation is mixology! What else to say except that it's a time bomb? This Jam/Savanna union is successful.

This is a multi-distillery blend, but I was too stubborn to look up the exact composition and rather tried to decipher it myself. Extremely fruity nose, immediately reminiscent of a LP STCE and/or Savanna HERR profile. Difficult to say which fruits aren’t included; I discover banana and plantains, sour pineapple juice, berry mix with primarily blackberry and strawberry, and stewed red rhubarb. Sweetness sourced from fructose, but there is a hint of leafy sugarcane. Slightly butyric into hot glue gun; perhaps some HD HLCF mixed in. Juniper and a hint of pimento makes it lightly woody yet vibrant. The nostrils are left with longjing tea, green olives and geraniums. Tasting more or less continues the same experience. The fruits are dialed back a notch as sugarcane and spices become more dominant. Some vanilla pod is introduced as well as peppers and lots of salt leaves the mouth watery. The aftertaste is medicinal with solvents, hot glue and green tea. Finish is short and fruity. The banana and plantains are mostly lost, but pineapple, berries and rhubarb persist. Fresh with juniper and a sprinkle of olive brine. Stuff like this is why I love white rums.

Very nice blend. I'm actually not a big fan of unaged. This one is pleasantly round and not as sharp as my previous corked bottles. Intense but not particularly complex. You get a lot for your money.

A very intense flavor bomb that works brilliantly in a Daiquiri, for example. But one should keep in mind that due to the intense profile, the rum can be very dominant in any drink. I like it!

On the nose it's funky with hints of fruit, a herbal and medicinal side. A touch of smoke as well. You can tell there's Jamaican in it, but the other component (which I know much less) dominates. On the palate, the medicinal side is dominant at first, then the other markers come through. Decent finish. Me, who doesn't like white rums, can actually find pleasure in this one.

From the set RumX send me for winning the june lottery. All the funk! Fermented tropical fruits. Overripe banana and pineapple. I read this was Jamaica and Savanna? No wonder. In the nose a slight Agricoly vibe. Very well balanced on 61%. With Savanna the fermented/overripe notes can get musty, but this is fresh. Strawberries. Love it.

A great fruity blend rum that combines very round Jamaica funk and esters with vegetal grassy agricole notes. Esters and tropical fruits meet medicinal grass and minerality. Fun to drink. Can be enjoyed neat in small sips with a bit of water.
