Mega blend of Hampden and Savanna at a terrific price-performance ratio. Extremely complex for a white rum. Fruity, floral and funky. Great in cocktails such as Daiquiri and Maitai.

RumX Community Tasting mit Rum Artesanal zur Tasting Lottery Juni 2023: Toller Blend, sehr präsente Savanna Grand Arôme Noten, die Jamaika-Einflüsse sind vorhanden, aber die Savanna-Noten sind meines Erachtens nochmal deutlich ausgeprägter. Toller Rum mit begeisterndem Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.

You get a lot for your money whether you drink it pure, be sure to rest it for a good while, or in a Coca Cola where it also shines. The nose is funky with fruit, grass, ester, solvents and light vanilla. The palate is also intense, funky and fruity with ester, gras and very light vanilla. The finish is very long and fruity with spices and a touch of grass. Mixes very well with a Coca Cola!

Danals bei der Verlosung auf RumX ein Sample Set gewonnen inkl. eines Online Tastings. Leider muss ich sagen dass dieser Pur nicht so mein Fall ist. Den Rest vom sample mit Cola verkostet, aber dort macht er eine gute Figur. Als Mixer gelungen und zu einem fairen Preis zu haben.

Was für eine Granate! Einer der besten unaged Rums die ich hatte und das zu einem unschlagbaren Preis. Macht pur richtig Spaß mit einem Zusammenspiel aus jamaikanischem Funk und Savanna Frucht. Und dabei ist die Olivennote die man in so manchem jamaika Overproof findet hier dezent genug, dass sie mich nicht stört. Lediglich die leichte Specknote im Abgang stört mich etwas. In Drinks ist der Rum ebenfalls sensationell, sowohl im Daiquiri als auch als Add On im Mai Tai

Blend Jam / Réunion avec LP / HMP / MNM / Savannah (20%). Ce rhum nous envoi directement une dose de fruits surmuri (Tropicaux et Quelques fruits rouges) avec un touche de fraîcheur (Gingembre / Citron). Celle-ci est très contrasté avec la lourdeur empyreumatique et sombre de ce rhum (Viande / Fumé / Goudron / Métal chaud / Caoutchouc). La réunion en plus du gros côté végétale (Foin / Frais / Poivron vert) nous amène des olives vertes en saumure plutôt iodé se qui la aussi contraste beaucoup avec les jus jamaïquain. On trouve un pointe de gourmandise avec un petit côté crème carbonisé qui fait ça place avec les épices très présentes (Vanille / Muscade / Girofle / Réglisse / Cannelle). Blend intéressant étant donné qu'on arrive plutôt bien à sentir les deux terroir.Vont-ils bien ensemblent?

Schöne Mischung zweier Esterbomben, die pur klargeht, im Daiquiri (und auch anderen Drinks) aber auch gut kickt! Jamaika (Hampden?) und Réunion (Savanna!) und damit zwei starke High-Ester-Vertreter zaubern einen Blend, der trotz der fehlenden Lagerung recht fett und breit daherkommt. Für mich persönlich sind die Savanna-Aromen ein bisschen zu dominant, vor allem am Gaumen, aber insgesamt trotzdem ein schöner ungelagerter Blend!

The relationship between Hampden and ReUnion is balanced. It is still quite spicy and very fruity dominant. Unfortunately, it still tastes a bit metallic because it is not aged. A good mixer, but here it lost most of the berry flavors. I would like to express my gratitude to Rum Artesanal for the flavor sets 🙏🏻

Auch wenn der Begriff „Single Blended Rum“ auf dem Label bei einem Blend aus zwei verschiedenen Ländern bzw. Destillerien natürlich Quatsch ist, der Rum selbst ist es definitiv nicht. Nicht nur im Daiquiri ein Traum, auch pur gefällt mir diese ansprechende Aromenvielfalt aus tropischen Noten und roten Beeren, ohne nennenswerte Lösungsmittel- oder Biomüllkomponenten, richtig gut.
