#6840 24.05.2026 Running a few evening samples while listening to some Psy Trance on Spotify. Price to quality this is a very good rum in my mind. Intense profile with nice wood, chocolate,fruits, ginger, spice, light metallic and some Graphite.

The Rum Mercenary – Black Label Port Mourant 2002-2020 (51.7%) An older Port Mourant, 18 years this time. Nose Much more powerful and complex: metal, bitterness, damp wood, dark chocolate, apples, pears and a beautiful spicy thread. Palate The alcohol is superbly integrated. The whole remains very typical Port Mourant: woody, metallic, with a nicely controlled bitterness. Finish Long, very dry and bitter – a true concentrate of PM in all its splendor. Conclusion A longer and more intense version than the 2005, but still in the expected range. A great classic.
