Creamy with nice spice and pastry notes. Rather restrained fruitiness and little funk. Great Long Pond - but I personally lack a bit of effervescence.

Very nice buttery esters, fermented fruit and subtle sweetness on the nose. Honey sweetness on the palate at first, then some buttery esters, young wood and minimal allspice. Creamy and soft on the palate. ABV at a good drinking strength. The finish is medium long with a little more spice and tannins. Re-tasting at Dr. Django: Sticking with my assessment, but lowering it from 9.0 to 8.9

Ein gediegener, cremiger, fruchtiger easy Sipper Long Pond von Rum Artesanal. Das VRW Mark ist grandios, zeigt sich hier aber sehr verhalten. Dieser Rum ist sehr lecker aber im Vergleich mit den Long Ponds aus 2005 (Rom Deluxe oder Habitation) sind das schon Welten.

Exceptional Long Pond. A sweet fruitiness meets a light smokiness. Creamy soft, with pastry notes that I would almost put in the New Yarmouth corner. Almost unusually round for Long Pond, perhaps even lacking a little effervescence. But all in all, I think it's a lovely bottling!

8,7:On the nose, the first impression we get is estery with tropical, citrus fruits like pineapple, banana, woody, as it is charred and the molasses is vegetal.There are delicious notes of sweet pastry, glazed with honey and caramel. On aeration, more baking spices, nuts arise and some mango. 8,8:On the palate, the attack is spicy with anise, vanilla, green pepper,estery with tropical fruits, there is some strawberry, green apple is tasty, the wood is charred and dry with caramel, nuts. After resting, bourbon notes are stronger with yellow, citrus fruits and dried figs.The molasses is vegetal, some sap crawls in, grass...We are tasting a very delicious rum, with sweet toffee and marzipan, round and balanced. 8,8:The finish is long, fruity, woody and dry, spicy, copy/paste from the palate, it quickly becomes earthy...Tasty. Edit:24.1., a 0,1 higher.

Parallel mit einigen trop. gereiften VRWs verkostet, die ein völlig anderes Profil haben. Mir persönlich sagen die trop. gereiften LPs deutlich mehr zu. Dennoch gefällt mir auch dieser kontinentale LP recht gut. Schönes cremiges/öliges Mundgefühl.

A beautiful potpourri of butteriness, creaminess, subtle smoke, marzipan, light peppery notes, esters and tropical fruits. The finish is medium to long with a bitter note that I don't quite like. But that's complaining on a high level. A solid and good Long Pond.

super weird, the nose promises something completely different than the taste delivers. I had hoped for something more fruity, fatter and full-bodied. overall too sweet and also too bitter and sour for me personally. nevertheless a very exciting and fairly priced drop!

Und dann noch einen Long Pond von Dr. Django hinterher. Finde diesen echt wirklich geil, typisches Jamaika Profil. Viele (vergorene) tropische Früchte wie Banane und Ananas. Außerdem gut Esterhaltih am Gaumen :)

Schön cremiger LP, dem man seinen Alkoholgehalt in keinster Weise anmerkt (ich gehe mal davon aus, dass die Flasche nicht vor Ewigkeiten geöffnet wurde). Leckere buttriges Ester und Tropische Früchte; hierbei mehr Banane als Ananas. Vanille und Karamell ergänzen sich im Gaumen sehr schön.

A fine and soft nose. Very round and balanced. Delicate fruit esters and nice overripe sweet banana. Honey sweet and creamy toffee. Spicy with anise and vanilla. Very nice. The palate confirms the nose. Nicely balanced with subtle estery notes, some banana, more pineapple this time. Toffee again with vanilla and anise. Spicy leathery finish. Anise to the tea. Totally nice LP with very good balance zw. ester, fruit, sweetness and spice.

"This is really, really up my alley. I love the long conitental aged long ponds that get this butteric acid aroma. This does a lot, admittely without being overly complex, so it does not goes up to the 90s. but as easy sipping this is a machine."
