How does Licorera Cihuatán Single Barrel (Switzerland) taste?

Aggregated from 12 community reviews.

Dry, bourbon‑leaning, but on the thin side A rum for curious explorers who like bourbon‑leaning profiles. Dry, woody and slightly herbal with citrus, almond and cocoa notes, but a lighter body and fairly short finish. Well-made yet not showy, often seen as better for casual sipping or mixing than as a big, contemplative pour.

Perfect for

Fans of drier, bourbon‑influenced Spanish-style rums who value wood, herbs and subtle cocoa over sweetness and want a straightforward, easygoing sipper or mixer.

Less suitable for

Those seeking rich, oily body, long finishes or intense complexity; drinkers who prefer sweet, dessert‑style rums will likely find this too dry and restrained.

Very nice sample. Slightly medicinal nose with dried apricots and jodine. Off dry on the palate, then comes some acidity. Medium medicinal/metallic finish. Not my ideal sipper, but nice experience. Quality product.

Much better than expected, but somehow watered down and a very short finish. More for mixing. In summary, however, the opinion I had before about this rum has already been confirmed. Thanks to Tschusikowsky for the sample.
