Asta Morris Bielle Rasta Morris 2011
Caramel, coconut and tobacco lead here, with dried fruit, vanilla and a flash of solvent behind them. It's a column-still Marie Galante agricole that drinks rounder than most — several tasters keep comparing it to a soft Foursquare, all chocolate, brioche and roasted nuts. Most call it a "lovely agricole sipper" with the 52.8% beautifully tucked in. A couple find the palate a touch dry.
- Well-integrated alcohol

How does Asta Morris Bielle Rasta Morris 2011 taste?
Aggregated from 63 community reviews.
Round, pastry-sweet agricole with tobacco Well-liked across the board: round, gourmand and pastry-sweet for an agricole, with the alcohol cleanly integrated. The main gripe is a drying, slightly bitter finish that a few felt lacked depth.

And again a great Agricole! In the nose a lot of solvent, banana, almond and floral. In the mouth then really strong, creamy, dried fruit, coconut, tobacco and then a long finish.A young Neisson Foursquare blend.😉 A rum to enjoy.

A very good connecting rod with a pleasant Neisson touch.

YummY 🤤🤤 Thanks to Joachim for this nice sample! A really delicious rum with the right mix of complexity, roundness and agricole! I enjoyed this one a lot. Nose: Nice coconut and banana creme with a hint of tabacco. I found also some hazelnut notes, after adding some drops of water. Mouth: Nice mix of roasted almonds, herbal (bitter), fruit and agricole notes. Finish: quite long with a lovely licorice note and a lot of agricole notes.

Solid Asta Morris bottling, for a Bielle, which is not necessarily my favorite profile, surprisingly good for me. I find it pleasant to drink, but for me personally a sample is enough.

Nice nose but mouth is completely out of my taste. Too dry and spicy, that is not my kind of agricole rum. Quite disapointing for Bielle ...

The nose is characterized by honey, dried fruit, herbal notes and wood. Somehow sometimes also an ingenious coconut-banana-tobacco combination. Not overwhelmingly dry in the mouth, but very herbal-chocolaty, caramel and bitter. The finish is similar, but with pleasant roasted aromas reminiscent of coffee. Great drinking strength and a top rum!
Review by TheRhumhoe
A lovely selection from Asta Morris, which opens with an extremely sweet nose of pastry and sweet notes (toffee, brown sugar, caramel, milk chocolate, candied notes). Coconut, pineapple and banana add further sweetness, while wood, tobacco and spices are more discreet. A hint of solvents also makes an unexpected appearance. A round, gourmand profile. The palate is reminiscent of an ultra-smooth Foursquare: coconut, tobacco, caramel, chocolate, coffee, sweet spices, dried fruit, brioche and pastry notes on crème brûlée are truly reminiscent of Bajan's gourmet style. Everything is exquisitely smooth and round, giving the impression of tasting a sweet. The alcohol is well integrated. The finish is a hyper-patissier rum, with hints of caramel, crème brûlée, toffee, brioche and viennoiseries. The finish may lack intensity and depth, as the aromas remain succinct (chocolate, spicy wood and dried fruit), but the tone is not unpleasant. A very different profile from the Bielle 2009 from the same bottler, very smooth and easy-drinking, but which loses complexity to this one.

Nose: at the opening it is the herbs that we feel, with a medicinal side. Then, we have the glue which makes its passage then we arrive finally on the fruits and the vanilla which settle durably.Mouth: they are the wood and the soft spices which we perceive first then caramel and coconut. Finish: medium to long, on cocoa, dark chocolate, coffee probably due to the slight bitterness.A good bielle but with a price that seems to me a little high.

84 points. Lovely nose: dried fruit, vanilla, tobacco, caramel, spices and a little wood. The mouth is a little less convincing due to a little dryness.

This is a lovely Rasta Morris and the price to quality is very good in my mind. The nose is fruity with vanilla, nuts and varnish as well as light wood. The palate oily, complex and well balanced between fruit, wood and vanilla trailed by chocolate, licorice and tobacco. Try to nose the empty glass once rested for a couple of hours. The finish is long and lightly woody with sugarcane, caramel and chocolate.

Very tasty with wonderful solvents 🤤 A nice creaminess in the mouth.

sensationally good Marie Galante. Herbal menthol candy (Ricola), grapefruit jam, spice bread and some tobacco and papaya on the nose.taste very fresh after Ricola herbal candy, bitter orange, tobacco and orange peel. in the finish it becomes more intense after roasted nuts, dark chocolate and licorice, herbal liqueur and mocha with caramelized banana, however, also very dry and astringent. overall, however, very round, delicious and harmonious!

Angenehmer Sipper

Lovely agricole sipper. Alcohol is integrated very well, great overall balance.
Review by Stylo
Very interesting rum..lots of tobacco and vegetal notes upfront, mellowed by sweet notes of licorice, vanilla and coconut. Really fresh and grassy. Delightful

A very good Agricole... harmonious, soft... a sipper for the evening
Review by Morgan Garet
