#4658 17.03.2024 Sitting at home relaxing a bit with some TV series running on the telly 😊 Nose Fresh, sugarcane, light floral, light licorice, citrus, ginger, light vegetal. Palate Round, fresh, oily, vegetal, sugarcane, light nutts, citrus, light ginger. Finish Medium long, citrus, medium dry, oily, faint nutts. The empty glass has light chestnut notes to it. Price to quality is very good in my mind.

This Depaz blanc is distinguished by more distinctive aromas. The suppleness of the Cuvée des Alizées is replaced here by a more spirited rum. The nose is very citrus-oriented (grapefruit and lime), but above all vegetal, with notes of sugarcane, aromatic herbs and tomato. Atypical but not unpleasant. On the palate, the attack is also drier, spicier and slightly alcoholic. Citrus and herbal notes duel on the palate, with pepper notes lurking in ambush to get the better of them. A well-structured white rum. The finish, of decent length, sees floral, earthy and herbaceous notes dominate proceedings, before citrus fruits and hints of chili pepper intrude on the finish. A cuvée that expresses another facet of Depaz rums, just as qualitative and expressive.

Belle surprise que ce blanc goûté après la cuvée des Alizés. Celui-ci est beaucoup plus punchy. Grosse présence du citron vert et un côté très vert et herbacé. Du poivre en fin de bouche. Chaud mais pas trop car degré d'alcool pas trop élevé. Sympa.

MasterClass Saint James VS Depaz avec Morgane. Nez un peu fermé, terreux anis, mais en bouche le léger poivre et la mirabelle sont très cool. Fin de bouche un peu amère / peau de fruits qui reste sur la langue. Sympa !

Très sympa. La canne est bien gourmande avec un coté bubble gum, du melon et des agrumes. On a aussi un petit côté piquant type gingembre qui pointe son nez. Pas du tout végétal et minéral mise apart cette canne qui structure le tout. On est plutôt sur du floral et fruité ce qui n'est pas pour me déplaire. Easy sipper

Le nez est sur la canne à sucre bien fraîche avec des notes mielleuses. En bouche c’est très doux (on pourrait croire que c’est même encore plus réduit que 48%), c’est très sucré en bouche et très végétal ! Sa fraîcheur et son côté fruité – agrumes est franchement très agréable. La longueur est plutôt persistante et même surprenante pour un 48% ! On passe un bon moment de dégustation accompagné d’une douceur parfaite. Le verre se vide trop vite ! 2 Rhums blancs de suite pour lesquels je prends énormément de plaisir. Les 2 ayant étés distillés sur base de cette canne bleue.
