Strongly sweetened and the original cocoa flavor from the barrel treatment was heavily enhanced with added aromas. Certainly suitable for refining desserts.

Initially really sharp but the finish is a chocolate poem that really lasts long with light coffee notes. You get the feeling you've eaten a whole bar of dark chocolate. Very positively surprised me! Recommendation!

Smells deliciously of chocolate and vanilla, but not subtle and natural, rather like added flavoring. Reminds me of chocolate pudding or chocolate liqueur. Whether there's complexity behind the heavy chocolate aroma? Vanilla aroma, coffee aroma, yes, but both too artificial for me. Possibly some wood, but that's hard to guess. So the impression remains: a bit more sugar and less alcohol and it could pass as praline filling. Quite tasty in the sense of candy, but not what I would have expected from a rum in this price range.
