A delicious Guyana rum, with lots of “wow-factor”. A good and full taste, that lasts. The alcohol is quite dominating.

In parallel tasting with the comparable 23y from Ekte from 1992 (RX3604) slightly inferior, not quite as complex. Became independent of it more and more noticeable and better, the longer he could breathe.gefallen mir!

This is a wonderful rum and I will definitely get back to this one. A backup bottle has already been ordered. The nose is peppery and has a lot of wood in a good way. There is also pear, burnt sugar and a bit of leather in there. The palate is creamy/oily and the rum draws nice curtains in the glass. Lots of fruit, barrel and spice. Later sugarcane and licorice comes to the front and a small hint of olive. The finish is long woody with spices and a hint of marzipan.
