This is a rum that will separate waters as an either you like it or not. Right out of the bottle it can be pungent to some, but after resting for a while it becomes more gentle and light. Fruity with medicinal notes are there from nose to finish. There is also oak and spice in the mix. Price to quality can be discussed all the way to the bank :-)

The nose is very alcoholic at first, and needs to be aired! Once opened, it is very greedy and pastry-like, with vanilla. There's citrus fruit and a slight woodiness. All wrapped up in a few medicinal notes that make this nose attractive and rather promising... It's young and well-balanced. On the palate, it's spicy and solventy. It's greedy and pastry-like, as the nose suggests. There's also a hint of butter. The finish is pleasantly woody and vanilla. It's a blend of agricultural gourmandise and Jamaican rebellion. Classic but good.

What a nose! It's got everything, but with a fine balance of pastry (vanilla, caramel), fruit (banana, apple, pineapple), wood, solvent and roasted coffee. Top-notch. On the palate, it's just as pleasant, with fruit taking over and a pleasant mineral edge. The finish is long on fruit and coffee. Excellent clairin!

You know what I feel in in? The specific pastry. I am from CZ and in Tesco there is sweet pastry with maple syrup and almonds. That is exactly that. Also, when I bake, this is the scent of ready dough. Nice.

Another day another Sajous Vioux…alk The same but each is different..this one is interesting - I like all of them but this one is great - as mentioned in description-mix of fruity spices and woody - and I agree with medicinal tones with honey / sugarcane (sweet) finish Nose - I can smell glue, technical and medicine part, spices and wood. Taste - complex - from sweet to woody and some glue. Finish- warm, dry with sweetness.. I can imagine to have the whole bottle home.

I am trying the sample, which I got from a great man and rum lover Jarda. Thank you very much, friend. When I opened the sample, I could smell the powerful content of the bottle. It is definitely agriculture rum, but it smell soft and very rounded - there is pineapple, grass and coconut. The taste is beautiful, you can distinguish cream and honey, but with fruits. It is really like some fruit covered with honey, the body is full with super dry aftertaste. Even the aftertaste has some fruits included inside. I can tell there is a mango, wood, cloves. This rum is wonderful. Only 4 years aged? The dry taste have to be miracle.
