The aromatic profile of this opus is average, with a framework of spices and wood, with a few notes of ripe fruit but no real balance.

On the nose, the rum opens with a lovely sweetness of vanilla, wrapped in a noble and delicately toasted wood. You quickly perceive a touch of dry cocoa and fine spices, giving it an elegant and mature impression right from the first approach. On the palate, the attack is soft and warm. Vanilla dominates at first, with an almost creamy sensation, before cocoa and spices gradually settle in. The rum remains upright, clean, without excessive sweetness: you clearly feel the oak's influence. The finish is medium length and clearly leans towards toasted wood. It becomes drier, with a marked tannic structure, leaving a serious and slightly astringent impression in the mouth, like an old spirit well aged in cask. Overall, it's an elegant and composed rum, more woody than fruity, that mainly tells the story of its cask: vanilla at the start, cocoa in the middle of the mouth, then a toasted wood that gradually asserts itself.
