Clairin drinkers after something tamer than the usual wild ones will find this an easy pour. Unaged Haitian cane-juice spirit, grassy and fresh, with lemon, ginger and a green, almost herbal streak — one taster picked up olive and salt. At 55% it's lively but surprisingly balanced for the style, which splits opinion: a few love the restraint, others find it a touch flat next to the big Clairins.

#6946 21.06.2026 First speed hiking with my wife and then my own speed training afterwards. Now I'm ready for a few samples while listening to some nice Goa Trance on Spotify. Price to quality is extremely good on this rum in my mind. Fruity rum with nice honey, grass, fruits, olive, salt and something green.

A good clairin. We're close to a Martiniquais. Nothing impressive, far from Sajous, Casimir or Le Rocher.

What? A balanced clairin? It's fun, with all the markers of clairin, but quite vegetal, quite fruity, and a little balanced with a few spices on the finish to spice things up. An interesting alternative to the usual exuberant ranges.

Big vanilla on the nose with some vegetable matter, olive. Some sort of herb here like rosemary or something. A tinge of metallic taste in the finish. Coconut. Some pepper in the finish. Bottle split thanks to Moss.
