Here's a Long Pond that leans fruity rather than feral: flambéed pineapple, banana and strawberry, honey and a soft cognac-cask vanilla, with only light varnish and solvent poking through. This is the low-ester ITP mark, and four years in Ferrand's cognac casks rounds the edges further. At 52% the alcohol bites at first, then integrates. Elegant and easy — just don't expect a funk monster.

The alcohol bites at the first sip but soon after releases an explosion of taste. This is something new and still real Jamaican with the funk. Very well balanced and harmonic in the oak vs other flavours. You're probably going for seconds on this one.

👃 Pleasant note of pineapple and strawberry, chemical aroma of strawberry chewing gum, candied fruit paste, flower honey, marmalade, tropical fruit salad, vanilla wood and dried fruits from Cognac, an almost grape eau-de-vie side. Soft esters, very light varnish and solvents, slightly menthol freshness, green tobacco. 😋 Tropical and red fruits combined together, caramelized pineapple, banana, mango, strawberry, raspberry, between fruit paste and jam. A bit too sweet/honeyed for me. The typical Cognac woodiness of Ferrand, vanilla, cocoa and rough coffee smooth the flavors. Herbal freshness between tobacco leaf and dried mint that links to the finish. ⛳ Average, fresh, dry, spicy. Pineapple, fruity melting pot, lime, vanilla wood, mint. 💡 The 4 years in Cognac cask rounded the edges of this very low ester profile from Long Pond. It's quite sweet, soft, fruity, fresh and vanilla. It drinks by itself but it's far from a monster of complexity. The RQP is not good.

No big surprise, the typical Jamaican solvents hit the nose immediately. But the tropical fruit salad quickly appears. The nose is very elegant with a very indulgent touch of honey. The whole is very pleasant with hints of light spices and woodiness. On the palate, it follows the nose's theme, very fruity, again on tropical fruits and strawberry. It's very light and balanced with a very soft woodiness. The roughly 50% is perfectly blended. Nice length more on coffee that pleasantly fades over time.

The nose is very lively and starts with an extremely fruity profile of flambéed pineapple, banana, juicy pear, and lime zest. It then evolves into wax, rose, camphor, and walnut. The palate is similar to the nose with deep notes of molasses followed by cooked apple with spice notes such as nutmeg, curry, vanilla, and herbal notes such as sage and lemongrass. It then becomes a little sour, very dynamic with chocolate, bitter orange, figs, sweet popcorn, and peppermint notes.

Very good Long Pond in the pure tradition of Bob Marley's country.. A big vegetal floral side at the end and this strawberry side.. Just missing a bit of power.

Nose : muted, don't get a lot but I only had 1cl Mouth : taste like 44% so alcool perfectly integrated. Bite a bit at first but it might be the reduction. Very balanced, varnish is light but here. Comment : 500€ for this is... Extreme
