8,5:On the nose, the first impression is rich and powerful, a bit perfumed with notes of toffee, nougat, vanilla, chocolate, coconut, dates, tobacco and macadamia nuts, minimally caramelized with strong molasses. There are some roasted nuts, soy sauce, leather, medicinal notes and a resin. When aeration, it becomes a bit smoky and is vegetal with camp fire, heather, really Islay whisky like.A very complex rum. 8,5:On the palate, the first attack a salty taste (salted butter caramel), very agricole like, then grilled meat, a bit ashy and dark chocolate, we could say umami, is round, balanced. It becomes fruity with dried fruits like apricots, red fruits, spicy, vegetal, with a camphor. We find our strong liquorice candied, molasses mixed with soy sauce. Later we get some tonka beans and cinnamon. 8,2:The finish is fresh, bittersweet, woody, spicy with licorice, perhaps some resin, even juniper notes and a hint of caramel, blackcurrant. What an unexpected, pleasant surprise!👌

Nice selection. Brazil is located near some islands, but with its own profile.
