One taster called this "between the natural and the chemical" — and that odd tension is the draw. Fresh, green and floral on the nose, a bit medicinal, then a dry palate of yellow fruits, plums and herbal tea. Being half sugarcane-juice, half molasses, it drinks agricole-adjacent with a spicy, licorice finish. Nobody here found another rum quite like it.

8,5:On the nose, the first impression is rich and powerful, a bit perfumed with notes of toffee, nougat, vanilla, chocolate, coconut, dates, tobacco and macadamia nuts, minimally caramelized with strong molasses. There are some roasted nuts, soy sauce, leather, medicinal notes and a resin. When aeration, it becomes a bit smoky and is vegetal with camp fire, heather, really Islay whisky like.A very complex rum. 8,5:On the palate, the first attack a salty taste (salted butter caramel), very agricole like, then grilled meat, a bit ashy and dark chocolate, we could say umami, is round, balanced. It becomes spicy, vegetal, with a camphor. We find our strong liquorice candied, molasses mixed with soy sauce. Later we get some tonka beans and cinnamon. 8,2:The finish is fresh, bittersweet, woody, spicy with licorice, perhaps some resin, even juniper notes and a hint of caramel, blackcurrant. What an unexpected, pleasant surprise!👌

53,2° attention nose hairs... In short, it invites you to an experience apart, between the natural and the chemical... What a balance. A big kif on this nose that I can't describe... Lovers of freshness, floral, a little medicated in the mouth, for me a small reference. I did not find it elsewhere. Once again a kif. The end of mouth is spicy all in the controlled licorice... Epris is half/half sugarcanejuice/molasses spirit so I've heard. Cool stuff most of the times. Fresh and fruity in the nose. Just a tad greenish. Inviting. Taste: yellow fruits. Lot of plums in different varieties. Dry. Macaron cookies. Chamomille tea. Something herbal on the background faintly familiar. Copper. Nice.
