I just returned from a luxury tasting I was invited to and I'm actually a bit tipsy this time because all the rums had a high proof. This tasting was Plantation extreme only and this is the third one of the six. This one was far better than the previous one. It may be an atypical Saint Lucia rum, but it balances pretty well. Leave in the glass for a while to get all the flawours. Price to quality is OK.

Very surprising St. Lucia with similarities to Caroni profiles. A good and underrated rum in my opinion.

Top notch / interesting column rum. While I do prefer St Lucia‘s Pot Still rums, I‘m surprised how much I enjoy this one.

Beautiful Lucia, but it still can't outdo other Masters Selection etc.. I miss the heavy, dirty notes and some power
Review by Rodolphe
A ste Lucie dominated by the woody profile of a Bourbon cask. It reminds me of the 2005, only more powerful. The nose is dominated by roasted nuts, tobacco, a veil of solvent, almond and a little milk chocolate. On the palate, it's a little livelier, with some fruit not far behind but struggling to make itself heard... It's still a very good gourmet rum, but for the same price it's not what I'd buy on Ste Lucie.

Very pleasing and pleasant. But thereby also almost boring and consistent. The price is in no way justified for me.

Very exciting. Differs from other bottlings from Saint Lucia. In the finish really nice dry and astringent. Otherwise, I somehow missing something that highlights the rum for the price.

Good, but not perfect. It's like a very intense Spanish style, with lots of wood ibfluence and Spices. You have to let this breathe a while, to be able getting the fruitier components behind the alcoholic burn. Also, this takes well to some additional water.

What a difference from other good rums from Lucia! This tastes more like a mediocre Spanish. Probably it is continental matured?!
