Strong on ginger, nutmeg, orange and cinnamon. Not my pure style, but great as a toddy in winter or a dark n stormy in summer.

What is this, please? It was really a torture to try this. This bottling is not just spiced but over-spiced! I couldn't even get it down with cola. But the idea now is to use this as a Falernum substitute, since for me it goes in that direction.

Note: Employment at Perola GmbH (spirits industry), partial professional involvement with evaluated bottlings. All reviews are my personal, unpaid opinion. For me personally, way too much nutmeg ... still an unusual spiced rum and different from many other brands on the market and interesting. Edit: 50/50 with the CDI navy strength + hot apple juice as a hot buttered rum, it's quite nice in winter.

Grandma's mashed potatoes with lots of nutmeg is the first association here. Ginger, cinnamon, cloves, honey and orange play second fiddle on the nose. Rum is no longer necessarily noticeable here. The palate shows that pure enjoyment was not the plan here. Not bad at all, not at all boozy - but very strongly spiced. The nutmeg in particular is really strong here. I think it's good, but I really have to say that the direction is VERY special. Supplement when tried in drinks.

Lots of citrus, some ginger and cloves. Fresh, somewhat reminiscent of gin. Not for drinking pure, but for mixing: dark ''n stormy please!
