Gut trinkbarer 97er Caroni, Teer und überreife Mango, sehr lecker. Der Alkohol könnte aber besser integriert sein. Der Rum verändert sich rasch im Glas, er geht nach 15 min in Richtung Foursquare. Nach 2 Stunden im Glas ist er tot. Hab ich so noch nicht erlebt. Mit längerer Öffnung der Flasche und der einhergehenden Oxidation verschwindet die Mango und der Rum wirkt reifer und tiefer. Edit, wieder mal im Glas: Gut trinkbar, im Mund fehlt die Fülle. Trotzdem für sich gesehen ein sehr guter Rum.

A rather flat Caroni. The alcohol comes through rather aggressively in the finish.
This one was a disappointment mostly because I think the alcohol was poorly integrated. The nose is typical Caroni with tar, rubber and polish/varnish and fruits, but the alcohol kept coming through even after resting. The palate is a bit flat for a Caroni with rubber, tar and solvents topped with some caramel, nuts and a tad of orange. The finish is long and burning with roasted rubber.
