W.D.I. Marketing Clarendon Single Pot Still Jamaica Rum 1991
Opinions land in the middle here — interesting old bottling, but nobody calls it a knockout. It's a lighter, low-ester Clarendon: smoky ester on the nose, banana, citrus peel and green pepper, then young oak and a touch of bitterness on the palate. A few tasters found it drier and more modern than expected, one even sweet and thick-bodied. Drinkable and a real curiosity more than a showpiece.

On the nose there is this smoky low ester Clarendon note, I quite like. On the palate I could not point it to Clarendon tbh. Not too much expression there.

Review by Leo Krüper
