A rum whose bottle was brought to me by chance from India by my father, and which I discovered belatedly. This is a very sweet, vanilla molasses rum, whose main interest, in my opinion, lies in the smoky, toasty note that appears on the finish. I have fond memories of it. I'd probably enjoy it less today.

Brought by a friend in a plastic bottle (!) from India. I was expecting something nasty, but it wasn't that bad. Less sweet than expected. You can even find a few different flavors, but the colleague remains boring, without depth and has an artificial aftertaste. Will give it a try as a mixer.

Mitbringsel aus Indien, stilecht in der Plastikflasche. In der Nase volle Kanne Vanille, die kann nicht natürlich sein. Erinnert etwas an eine weniger schlimme Version von Bumbu oder Don Papa. Im Mund weniger süß als erwartet aber dennoch weiter künstliche Vanille, gepaart mit etwas stechender Würze.

Dark chocolate and fruit on the nose. Strong taste, slightly orangey and very sweet. A clear recommendation for cocktails in which rum should dominate a little more.

The nose is syrupy. I'm still to taste this but I know it's going to be sweet. There's some dried fruits and maple. The palate is not as fruity as I expected but the sweetness is there. Lots of molasses notes, quite synthetic, a strange fortifies wine note, not very pleasant. The finish has a surprising smokiness and some vanilla. It does linger for longer than expected too. Honestly, I'd heard some good things but this just isn't for me. It tastes too unnatural and syrupy. Mixed the rest of my sample with coke.

Tasted 20-12-2016 Harsh flavours and severe alcohol aftertaste. Lacks any depth of flavour and for the price there is much better alternatives available. This is one of the worst 7 year old rums i have ever tasted, so sweet and cloyying on the glass that shows clear that stuff has been added
