09.01.2019 Enjoying samples at home. Colour Medium to dark in colour. Nose Fresh, sweet, light wood, vanilla, fruit cake, light chocolate, light caramel, faint nutts. Palate Sweet, wood, light roasted, dried fruit, light nougat, light chocolate, faint caramel, faint tar, faint floral. Finish Short to medium, sweet, wood, light chocolate, spice, dried fruit, light nougat, faint mint.

Pappsüss. How high is the sugar content of this bottling? The original distillate is practically unrecognizable. Unfortunately far too sweet for me.

The first whiff makes it clear: this is going to be sweet! Great associations of white chocolate and toffee immediately come to mind. Smells like an Italian dessert on vacation. As expected, the palate is very sweet with associations of chocolate and brown sugar. Very sweet - definitely a lot of help here. Not my cup of tea, but one of the best sweet rums I've tasted. So I can understand the hype. Anyone who likes sweet rums with power will get their money's worth here.

A top representative of sweet rums, which of course lost complexity due to the sweetening but gained roundness. Lots of vanilla, chocolate, and warm wood can be found in this rum. The rum was distilled in 1988/1989, so it's a blend from different casks.

Toffifee to drink. Crazy amount of white chocolate cookies with caramel chunks and vanilla. Liquid dessert. Very tasty but personally way too sweet for me. Would be interesting to try it without dosage....

Has absolutely nothing to do with Caroni. 0.0 Caroni to be tasted! Almost like a liqueur, it's that sweet! But overall a sweet, nice rum for easy sipping!
