Hard to define this nectar while having a cold... With this nose I'd almost say a Jamaican... The peppery, floral with a hint of fruitiness plays the winning balance with the esters.... A beautiful promise. On the palate the peppery is extremely present... It kills all other scents... The alcohol struggles to enhance the aromas... Too bad. The finish reveals a nice little woodiness. At the very end an astringency appears... Is it the cold that alters this possible tasting? Unfortunately it doesn't fill me with joy. A bit disappointed. To try again without a cold....

A rum that has everything to please on paper and offers a nice balance and typical Demerara notes. The illusion remains on the nose, but the palate is disappointing, diluted. And yet I expected a lot, especially since it's a single cask. Retasted and definitely disappointing.
