Anyone who likes an aged agricole that leans woody rather than grassy will feel at home here. Members find dried fruit, cocoa, light leather and tobacco over a very elegant cedar-wood note, with a long, slightly dry finish. At 52.7% it's warmer than some Neissons but stays smooth. Give it air — a couple of tasters note it opens up.

Aahhh! A dream of a neisson! Fresh macarons, the 12 years in the barrel perpetuated with a beautiful cedar note. Chapeau. Compared to the 2004 SC, much more dried fruit. Elegant and perfectly balanced. Then woodier in the mouth, crisp, warm. Mmhhh, the salivation is stimulated. It does not have the shortcoming of some Neisson to be a little too weak on the chest du. A great rum, what can I say! Will soon taste it against the 15ys Batch #3, my reference so far.

Just spend an extended weekend in The Hague, Holland and I found a lot of nice places to test rum. This one is a lovely one from Neisson and i think even beginners may give it a chance. The nose is fruity with spices and chocolate trailed by light leather and wood. The palate ia kifgtly dry and very smooth with fruit, spices and wood as well as lighter notes of chocolate, leather and wet tobacco. The finish is long and lightly dry, which makes the flavours stick to your palate for very long. Dried fruit, wood and spices complete this finish.

wieder ein richtig guter Neisson! Was mir bei diesem besenders auffällt, ist die erdige Wurzel-Note am Gaumen. Ein schöner Kontrast zur eher fruchtigen Nase. Besten Dank nach Wien für diesen leckeren Feierabend-Sipper!

Very nice. Went through some Neisson tasting recently. Leather, dry fruits, a bit of cocoa on the nose. Smooth attack, well balanced and pleasant. Quite long - with dry fruits and some sweetness. Recommended Tasted again - really very good - liked it more than the first time around. Increased the grade by 0.2

Walnut taste, the nose is very expressive, eventually tobacco scent. On the palate the first impact is rich, but slightly below expectations. The rum remains pleasant with little bitterness, medium length.

Neisson discovery lineup. We start with the 12 years. A product already very balanced and expressive when given the necessary rest. A nice introduction to the brand's high-end.

Even with some resting time, the aromatic power is still present—nutty fruits, woodiness, and a very complex nose. On the palate, perfect integration of the alcohol, then an endless length with notes of cocoa, chocolate, nuts, and a bit of pepper. It’s very pleasant and well done!

On the nose fruit, spices, chocolate, light leather, and a very very elegant woodiness. On the palate you find everything from the nose and light tobacco. The finish is long and coating.
