Chairman‘s Reserve Master's Selection (40ans Dugas) 2012
More going on here than the label suggests — that's the recurring note. The nose is heavy and opulent with esters, olive, pineapple and a roasted, pastry edge; the palate stays rounder and softer, with wood, tobacco, dried fruit and a smoky, vegetal depth. A few tasters wished it were bottled stronger, feeling the dilution costs some punch.
- Esters and tropical fruit
- Smoky roasted depth
- Easy at strength

Aggregated from 16 community reviews.
Smoky, fruity Saint Lucia pot still A genuinely well-liked Saint Lucia pot still — fruity, smoky, well-integrated despite the modest strength. The one gripe: a couple feel the dilution thins out the intensity.

Very good ste Lucie at a great price. A real success: ester, tropical fruits, copper... and a pastry touch on top. Frankly, a top quality price at a nice and easy degree.

Un rhum sympathique, vraiment pas très cher, et surtout très fidèle à son origine. La porte d'entrée parfaite pour la distillerie

Ok rum za rozumnou cenu, svěží vůně, něco ovoce a rostlin.
Review by Jakob
Interesting profile, fruit, tea, wood, spices. The dilution seems to me nciht quite understandable, on the palate is lost some intensity. Too bad, because so I am left primarily with the thought of what would have been possible aromatically with the original strength.
