Whisky & Rhum L'Esprit A Jamaican Distillery
Nearly 86% and yet the heat stays in check — that's the first shock. Young Jamaican pot-still, but tasters keep reaching for Martinique or agricole instead: fresh sugarcane, banana, lime zest, a green minty streak, only a whisper of ester. One member locks onto a bright raspberry note. Wild, vegetal, and far stranger than its origin suggests.

How does Whisky & Rhum L'Esprit A Jamaican Distillery taste?
Aggregated from 15 community reviews.
Wildly green Jamaican that drinks like an agricole Members find it intense and unusual — praised as impressive, complex, well-balanced despite the huge proof. The catch: at cask strength it needs a long rest, and daiquiris let metallic notes through.

A rum that would put the mailman back on his bike!

Very spicy and vegetal, complex, intense and elegant.

This Rum is very impressive and offers us a very rich and interesting aromatic palette, all with a very nice balance. We find as well several types of fruits (Banana / Mango / Grape / Peach / Apricot) fermented passed to the solvent, spices (Clove / Nutmeg / Licorice / Vanilla / Pepper), a big vegetable side very green and very fresh as well as a super greediness.all that well balanced with a big funky and coppery side of Jamaica.the final is obviously interminable and very pleasant. Excellent rum, I love it!

Holy crap what is that! Raspberry puree, lime zest, banana, lots of sugar cane and herbal olive notes and only subtle ester meet here. Incredibly exciting. Me flashes especially this horny raspberry note! Absolute board! Alcohol blatantly well integrated for almost 86%🤤By the way, supposedly worthy park.Works in the daiquiri Überraschenderweise not soo well, here the metallic notes come through a little too strongly. Overall, nevertheless, very horny and exceptional!

#4076 This one needed to rest for a good while before the ABV settled down. Once rested it was a nice but intense nose with fruit and some medicinal notes. The empty glass reveals stronger notes of rubber and some tar as well. Price to quality is very good in my mind.

Very good rum with power - directly from the still. I would have put blind rather direction Martinique.
