Unfortunately the sweetness dominates from start to finish: 18 grams of sugar per liter 😔 Nutty notes and sweet pastry. Very accessible "for the masses", which suddenly explains why I expected more from this Single Cask... When I open the bottle (this tasting is from a sample), it will be to serve guests. Otherwise, let it just stay in the cupboard. Maybe the nutty notes come from the port casks, but I don't consider myself experienced enough to state that with conviction.

06.11.2021 Another visit to "Den Danske Rom & Whiskyfestival and once again with special access and many very drunk people both days. Notes. Overly sweet and not well balanced. Maybe good in a mixer.

In a new tasting, I can now see that the oxidation in the opened bottle did this rum good. The biting and buttery notes have passed, so that this sweet rum comes in my reassessment to 55 points.
