Retaste yesterday and it lost a few points but still very good in my mind. I just opened this bottle today and Appleton Estate has done it again. A blend of rums aged from 30 to 50 years and it is spot on. This new edition is limited to 4000 bottles and the price may be a bit high, but it's worth every penny. A well balanced rum where the nose just makes you want to have another whiff. And the finish linger on for several minutes. Sweetness and dry has been balanced to perfection and I think I may have to order another bottle as stock.

Appleton Estate

Avg Rating 7.7/10 91 Rums

Appleton Estate is the face of Jamaican rum to the world. Distilling in the St. Elizabeth hills since at least 1749, it makes close to a third of all the island's rum and is the only brand in the global top ten with serious pot-still character. Its master blender, Joy Spence, was the first woman to hold that title anywhere in spirits.
