Tierisch guter 1991 KFM … wahnsinn, wie geil der trotz des jungen Alters ist. Das ist jetzt mein Liebling dieses Vintages – vor den älteren Bellamy’s un Haubariria. Wer kann : Unbedingt probieren. Geiles Zeug.

A rum tasted at the GRF in 2024. An incredibly deep, dark nose, old leather, old varnished wood, barrel. The palate entry is lively for such a dark nose, but with sweetness, and the same aromas are present with a light acidity that balances it all out. The finish is long, long, still on the old varnished wood and still with that little acidity without which this rum would be too dark. A GRF 2024 favorite.

First time I had a chance to try one of the young 91 KFMs. I‘m a bit shocked. Despite its young age this is very good and pure KFM essence of the vintage. While I expected this to be much lighter than its 30y+ brothers, all of the woodiness, bitterness and tannins are there. Yet a bit less extrem and with a bit more liveliness (dried fruits are great in this) making this an excellent age to be bottled. Very nice.

Messe-Bewertung GRF 2024: Nase: Bleistift-Bombe Krasse Aromenexplosion am Gaumen. Bleistift, leicht dreckig, leicht Veilchen, dick und ölig. Eigentlich nicht mein Beuteschema, gefällt mir aber trotzdem außerordentlich gut.

18-19.02.2022 Going through samples at home. Notes Dark in colour. Nose Light wood, faint smoke, dried fruit, plum, fresh, light licorice, spices, faint coffee. Palate Oily, round, fresh, balanced, light wood, light roasted, cherry, spices, licorice, faint chocolate, light coffee. Finish Medium to long, balanced, light roasted wood, light cherry, faint citrus, light chocolate, spice.

Toller KFM. Purer melassesirup, viel Zitrusnoten, Kräuter und Bleistift nur dezent. Aromatisch extrem rund und ausgewogen, das "junge" alter merkt man ihm kaum an. Hätte ich nicht erwartet! Danke Daniel!

Interessant mal einen KFM in jung zu probieren. Hätte mehr rote Frucht erwartet, stattdessen war der insbesondere der Fasseinfluss und der Bleistift bereits mit erstaunlicher Intensität vertreten. Erstaunlich schweres Profil für das vergleichsweise junge Alter.

Auf dem 13. GRF probiert. Im ersten Moment wegen der Minze auf TDL getippt. Ein schöner KFM der wesentlich leichter war als der KFM von Tamosi. Dafür mehr Kräuter und auch den Beistift. Hat mir sehr gut gefallen aber im direkt Vergleich fand ich den länger gereiften KFM für mich besser da er mehr Schwere und Tiefe hat. Durchaus Parallelen aber doch auch große Unterschiede. Alkohol perfekt eingebunden.
