Peut être le meilleur Savanna jamais goûté! La finition de 2 ans en fût de Hampden ne trahit pas le travail en ex cognac de la distillerie et lui apporte une touch de funk supplémentaire. Merci à Cris Iniacio de m’avoir fait goûté ça 🥹

We get a whiff of solvent in our nostrils, am I at work synthesizing Butyl Acetate or at a rum tasting? Typical Savanna olive, tart apple and fermenting grape juice, fresh mint. The nose is more than promising, I love these solvent scents! On the palate, it's explosive but perfectly integrated. It's even rather round and greedy for almost 60% under the hood! Green olive, menthol and tangy fruit are the hallmarks of the nose. Hints of exotic fruits from Jamaica.

❗💥🇷🇪WOW! What a blast, long had nothing more under the nose what goes so in different directions.... The Jamaica Hampden barrel which was used for the "finish" makes itself very noticeable here in any case and brings a completely new dimension of complexity. One moment strawberry and pineapple, then again smoke and caramel, then again some candied apple and grape jelly, then freshly baked brioche with apricot jelly and after a long time to breathe join again notes of dried olives, tomatoes, peppers and chili and some thyme to it, underpinned by a menthol...In the taste then similar only not quite so vegetable, alcohol content extremely well integrated and dangerously drinkable... an absolute explosion in the mouth! The really fun!🤤

Nez : Fraise tagada, saumure, le fond se compose de l'identité hampden amené par les fruits tropicaux et le vernis. On retrouve un cote boisé bourbon gourmand vanille, et les epices de muscade, cannelle et muscade Bouche : Du gras en bouche avec des aromes de tagada mele au fruit de la passion de Hampden. Finale: Tagada, saumure, noyau d'olive noir. Fait saliver

Ce compagnie des indes est tout simplement l'un des meilleurs savanna grand arôme commercialisé par un embouteilleur indépendant. Son finish hampden lui procure le meilleur des rhums savanna et hampden. Un must have très rare.

Grand arôme finish high ester, quand on aime le style c’est une petite merveille. Saumure, passion, mangue trop mûre, solvant, bizarrement “assez équilibré”, bien intégré en alcool. C’est très bon

Grand Arôme finished in ex-Hampden cask... what could go wrong? Nose: Yes sir. That's Grand Arôme alright. Funky bubble gum pineapple yoghurt... lovely. Mouth: The story continues, feels like a cognac note shows up, together with a slight sourness. Not unpleasant at all. Finish: Same tune. Very consistent. I'd be lying if I'd say I detect the Hampden finish – think it's more on the nose – but that may be because GA and Hampden are not so different, in a way. I regret not getting a bottle of this.

Interessant, komplex und schwer zu fassen. Viele florale, kräutrige Noten. Trifft nicht hundert Prozent meinen Geschmack, aber trotzdem ein spannender Rum, der den Spagat zwischen fruchtigen Estern und floralen Noten schafft. Gegen Ende macht sich das Finish in Hampden-Fass schön bemerkbar und bringt einen Hauch des typischen Aromas in den Mund.
