Continental aging to perfection, what a Hampden! Absolutely warm and highly concentrated nose. Especially come through here besides fermented pineapple, grapefruit and citrus jam, incredibly pleasant notes of overripe banana, which I find very cool. The rum is incredibly round but still wonderfully complex. The palate is very mouth-filling, creamy, sweet. The fruitiness diminishes a bit and is taken a bit more by the classic earthy notes.... wonderful taste! One of my favorites, just good

Die Nase ist sehr fruchtig mit Mango, überreifer Ananas und Banane. Dazu sind auch florale/blumige Noten vorhanden, etwas Olive und Vanille. Genauso spielt sich das auch am Gaumen ab. Tolle Abfüllung mit sehr gut integriertem ABV.

So nach dem 2014er <>H zum Vergleich nochmal diesen aus dem glorreichen 2001er Jahrgang. Ein sehr unfairer Vergleich im Grunde, aber obwohl dieser nur kontinental gelagert war, wirklich sehr sehr gut. Den richtigen Zeitpunkt erwischt, diesen aus dem Fass zu holen. The Rum Cask, beweisen immer wieder ihr gutes Händchen bei sowas.

Dieser TRC ist deutlich komplexer als der ältere Bruder. Die Nase ist nicht ganz so betörend, aber am Gaumen harmonieren die Frucht, Holz und Würze hervorragend. So muss es sein 🤩. Der Abgang ist lang und intensiv. Ein sehr guter 2001er Hampden Re-Tasting bei Dr. Django: Meine Bewertung bleibt unverändert

This truly is a diamond in the rough. Once rested it is really fruity with esters and nice wood. The palate is both intense and balanced and the ABV is well integrated. The empty glass is absolutely amazing.
