Casimir 2016: Complex from the nose to the finish with herbal and fruity estery notes. A fruity dirtiness emerges on the finish, which is quite long for an unaged rum and becomes increasingly mineral. Sajous: The 6% abv is characterized by more volume on the palate. The rum is somewhat more demanding and less complex, also with vegetal notes and even more light and yellow fruits. The finish is somewhat spicy with a hint of lemon cake. White Clairins are great rums! It would be a dream if all varieties were available in 20 cl bottles.

for me the best sajous and the best clairin still! mango Madness, with light umami note, some white chocolate, pepper and fresh lime and discreetly smoky. incredibly Sweetffig and mega in the daiquiri.

First white rum from Haiti tested on a split. I was very surprised, being used to white rums from the French West Indies. It is very vegetal, mineral and on citrus fruits. Some notes of mangoes and a smoked finish. Nice discovery, to be tested in ti punch.

Looking at the price tag you get a lot for your money with this release. A very fresh and floral nose with lots of fruit and and sweet pastries. Draws really nice curtains in the glass and the empty glass is really nice. Even the day after there are still some notes left in the glass.

A bit sharp, quite strong olive nose.but a wonderful Clairin! On the olive I'm not quite so, the second tasting I take it but less strong was, in the mouth hardly anything of it arrives.

Still my favorite Clairin to this day. Simply top, fruity, pure and a great daiquiri.

Number 2 from the community tasting. This was the greenest of today's Clairin tasting. The nose is already very agricolic: lime, sugar cane and fennel, plus a hint of anise. In the mouth it is quite sharp and sour. Towards the back, the rum gets a bit broader, riper and more yellow: the pear turns into peach at the end of the finish. This is very nice, but also somehow somewhat unspectacular.

Thanks to RumTaTa.My favorite of the unaged Clairins. Very much lime and pear, sugar cane, grass/hay. Only the alcohol could be better integrated.

My favorite Clairin. Once you learn to drink this Clairin you won't be able to do without it.

Was in the online tasting yes many too sharp-edged. I must say I find him actually nice intense. The. Makes pure fun and also has enough power for Daiquri or Ti-Punch. Has ne nice balance between floral and fruity

Top Clearly, this is a quality Clairin. I think I like Clairins more and more. To sum up, my tasting notes: On the nose: Vegetal, Sugar cane, Citrus fruit On the palate: Mango, Vanilla, Fresh

This is the most balanced Clairin I have tasted so far: pleasant nose, you do not notice anything of the almost 56% alcohol. Likewise in the mouth, alcohol is very discreet. Blindly I would have guessed a barrel-aged Clairin. Many fruit associations, floral tones and wood dominate. I like it very much!

Already very close to an unaged Agricole. In the taste a little too sharp-edged for me.

On the nose is huge with fermentates, esters, fruit (pineapple, cantaloupe melon, overripe mango, strawberry) and some citrus (grapefruit), brine, sweet seaweed, olives and vegetables, initially also glue/solvent, but then fades. On the palate it is pungent and creamy, the fermented remains in the foreground followed by the esters, the fruit heard on the nose, cheese, umami, vegetable, savory/brine, white chocolate, pepper and a distant smoky note. Overall it is dry and despite all these aromas maintains a disarming roundness and a very good abv, but one I would have preferred higher. It is somewhat reminiscent of Rivier Antoine. In the empty fermented glass.
