Foursquare Spiced Rum
Most tasters rate this one of the better spiced rums precisely because it doesn't drown in sugar or fake flavoring — it reads dry and natural for the category. Expect a lot of cinnamon and ginger, plus vanilla, butterscotch and gingerbread that people call Christmassy. A couple find the cinnamon too loud, and the low 37.5% ABV leaves it thin. Several sip it neat; others keep it for eggnog and cola.

How does Foursquare Spiced Rum taste?
Aggregated from 50 community reviews.
Restrained, cinnamon-forward Christmas spiced rum Widely seen as spiced rum done restrained and natural, heavy on cinnamon and gingerbread. The catch: low strength keeps it thin, and for some the cinnamon runs too hot.

Might be my new favorite. Cinnamon, caramel, vanilla, slightly floral finish. Love it!

Tasted this during my recent journey to Barbados. The nose is spicy and a little sweet with scents of cinnamon, pepper, vanilla, nutmeg, ginger, marmalade and caramel. At the palate and during the medium long finish it’s spicy and sweet as well with the scents coming back as flavors together with toffee, orange and some bitterness.

One of the finest spiced runs I’ve ever tasted , cinnamon and ginger forward.
Review by Decky Hicks Doughty
The nose is quite rounded. It smells like a sweet Christmas cake, sat next to a freshly poured glass of coconut water. Rather pleasant. The palate is very dry for a spiced rum. The spice hits pretty hard. The cinnamon is very present and lots of gingerbread notes. The finish is pretty short. The coconut is back from the nose. And caramel notes are most present for me here. In my opinion this is a great spiced rum. Far less sweetened than most, for me very acceptable to drink neat. A shame about the ABV.

The best spiced rum I’ve tried. Currently enjoying sipping it neat. Not overly spiced and tastes natural. Lots of cinnamon and butterscotch coming through. Obviously limited in terms of strength, depth or complexity.

Delicately spiced. Aromas of vanilla, cinnamon and pastries. Flavors of gingerbread, cinnamon with hints of orange. Very enjoyable

Not a fan of spiced rums, probably I can count just a couple that I enjoy. This one is pretty good not overwhelming spiced flavor.

Spicy and unobtrusive sipper.
Review by Wagnerlicious
My first spiced rum that is not smothered in sweetness and overly artificial aromas. Very round. If you want to give your nose and palate a piece of Advent, this rum is a good choice. Great aromas of gingerbread, stollen, cloves, cinnamon, citrus and star anise on the nose. Round, spicy notes of clove, cinnamon, ginger and coconut on the palate. Little sweetness. Highly digestible on its own or as a cocktail with ONE shot of gingerberry and lime.

Lots of cinnamon and butterscotch coming through. For me personally a bit to much cinnamon.

Read full review →It does have a different kind of flavour but if this wasn't billed as a spiced rum I'm not hugely convinced many would pick up on it. Having said that this is a enjoyable rum on its own merits, I just found it surprisingly subtle. Have Foursquare made a mixing...
