Review by Decky Hicks Doughty
The nose is typical Jamaican, lots of banana, fresh cut green apple, some wildflower honey and a touch of furniture polish. The palate hits first with pear drop sweets and the honey from the nose but with a hint of smoke in the background. The finish isn't too short. Keeps the honey but now with pineapple and some black pepper. A nice rum. Quintessential young Jamaican rum. Nothing to complain about but not going to amaze.

Quite nice Jamaican, little funk, fruit and some spice, maybe peppery. Good value for the money, will look for more Berry Bros & Rudd bottlings for sure

This rum has almost everything you want from a Jamaican rum to an extremely low price. This one should be named “Sweet Syrup & Herbal Spice”, cause there are several different rums called “Jamaica Classic Range”. The nose is funky, fruity, spicy and you can recognize the aroma of dunder. At the palate it’s spicy, funky and rich with a certain sweetness. The flavors are persistent during the long and powerful finish.

While the smell is still quite pleasant, this rum goes down the throat easily, but despite the low alcohol content it has a boozy, alcoholic base that doesn't particularly appeal to me, especially as only the subtle hint of wood smoke indicates that it has been matured in a cask. Tasted blind, I would have guessed it was a young, watered-down Fiji rum from an exhausted bourbon barrel. Possibly suitable for mixing, but not enjoyable on its own.

Entry level rum, with less jamaican notes, but overall a good rum to start with.

Here we also have a classic standard rum. The fruity nose can be detected from 2 meters away, with a hint of pineapple. On the palate, it tastes a bit like fruit brandy. Apple and pear are recognizable.

A great way to discover the Jamaican profile! Ideal for mixology :-)

Quite fruity on the nose, but not an ester bomb. Initially strong fruit brandy, quite alcoholic. Then honey notes. Quite bitter and not very complex. Very slight smoky note after a longer time.

Typical Jamaican with no big surprises. Banana and overripe/gammy fruit. r Selatively smooth for its young age. I imagine it would be good in daiquiris etc., but it's not really my thing on its own.
Review by Gregor
Boring, short-winded. No traces of Jamaica. Rather reminiscent of a poorly distilled fruit brandy
