Another superb example of what agricoles can offer at their best. A very elegant woodiness that serves as a framework for fruity aromas. Freshness, notes of tobacco. On the palate, it’s dark but not too much. The wood doesn’t overpower everything. Some walnut. Spices. Long finish as desired with a nice bitterness. Very cool.

Very sharp and spicy palate, with that quite typical Trois Rivières woodiness that I find hard to appreciate, a bit damp and vegetal/floral. But it's well done and the notes contrast interestingly between warm and fresh.

On the nose it is delicate with hints of toasted sugar, cocoa, forest, tobacco and some citrus. On the palate it is initially pungent but almost immediately melts into warm wood/forest, spices and a note of sweetness that makes it full-bodied, all in complete roundness. On the medium-long finish come vegetal, peppery notes, red fruits and a slight roasting on gianduia, what a delight! If left to rest, earthy notes also appear. One of the most beautiful successes from Trois Rivière and one of the finest rums I tasted in 2020. Very nice balance, alcohol very well integrated revealing all the notes on the rum. Powerful nose, woody and spicy with some fruit touches. On the palate, an explosion of aromas full of power and subtlety. A beautiful marriage of wood, spices, a bit of pepper, lovely ripe/candied fruits, a mineral note at the end slightly salty. The finish is long with a sweet balance between pepper and salt.
