Peach is the whole show here — ripe, jammy, almost like fruit tea — with orange peel, vanilla and honey behind it. Most drinkers enjoy it for exactly that; the catch is the sweetness, which sits right at the liqueur line and reads artificial to some. The 42% alcohol isn't always cleanly tucked in either. A soft, fruity after-dinner pour rather than a serious 25-year sipper.

Almond, peach, passion fruit and a little coconut in the nose. A typical taste of candied orange peel. Sweet of course, but not as over-the-top as the regular Ambre d'Or.

Cheap peach crumb iced tea to drink, alcoholic artificial and cheap and not worth nearly 90€... Almost worse than the normal non plus ultra. But the only non plus ultra here is the poor price-performance ratio and the alcohol integration, which is not non plus ultra!🤦🏼♂️

11.12.2025 Day 11 of my Christmas Calendar and it's still a pretty sweet rum. --------- This rum was matured in previous sauternes dessert wine and it shines through. Very sweet and oily but better than the XO versions. A taste of warm spices and ripe fruit.

I like sweet and fruity rums, where you usually have to wonder if it's still real rum or already liqueur, or something in between, like spiced rum. Riise and Don Papa are my favorite types, that probably says a lot already. So far, I liked all Riise rums, the question usually is whether the more expensive bottles are worth the higher price. In this case, I would say yes. The rum tastes like peach, mild and vanilla, exactly my taste, but not artificial. I also like the bottle and color, after all, the eye drinks too ;-)

The taste has notes of pickled plum with vanilla and a sherry-like sweetness - long aftertaste - but but it is sweet and probably has its audience, but not quite my taste.

7,2:On the nose there are pickled yellow plums with orange peel, heather honey and a slightly aromatic roasted note from the oak barrels, shortbread cookies and a slightly floral, fragrant undertone. 8:On the palate the taste of the ripe and aromatic pickled plums dominates, but all the notes from the nose are present.Not bad, much better balanced than nose. 7,5:The finish has rum's rich, sweet flavor toned down very, very gradually. Rather complex spirit drink, made out of rums, inspite of sweetness.... For some special occasions.

Be careful if something needs to be called non plus ultra. This is an artificial tasting liqueur, similar to Don Papa, and obviously targeting the same group. My brother likes it, though.

Oh dear! If you know one Riise, you know them all... including this one. Peach on the nose and in the mouth with an overwhelming sugar addition just below the liqueur threshold, I would guess. Along with the typical artificial orange note. It’s just not my thing. Better a nice rum then. But okay for beginners.

As soon as you open the bottle, you are greeted by the aroma of exotic fruits. The palate is dominated by peach, apricot and spices. Of course, the typical A.H. Riise sweetness is not missing. A good rum but not the best of the brand.

Disgustingness you have a name. Came along as a free sample of rum and co and I can not imagine a more inappropriate addition product to a rum. I remain in the rating above 1 because at least there was no intoxication or nausea, but not much is missing. Inedible in the sense of "not approved as food" it is not, but a taste normal polled person can not enjoy it either. Most artificial peach flavors (so no peach but the industrial, disgusting taste) with a lot of sugar (also almost impossible to get down) and cheapest multi column alcohol. Unbelievably bad ... now first brush your teeth, throw the sample in the trash and bring down the garbage.

Fragrant, almost like a liqueur, bigger alcohol feeling in the nose than it actually has. On the tongue at first very alcoholic, then that state fades, however you can feel the bourbon barrel. Taste of tropics, raisins, citrus, vanilla. Overall you can't say it is unpleasant and artificial as some rate it.

Tasted together with Serge. The smell alone was already way too sweet and artificial. I didn't even dare to use this as a sweetener for espresso. How you can send something like this as a sample with an order from a Raconteur is very questionable from Rum&Co.

A rum with a lot of sugar. The nose is complex but dominated by sweetness. The taste is fruity with a lot of sweetness. The finish is short and sweet. I can confirm that the rums from A H Riise are sweet. If you really like very sweet rums, this is a good place. For me this rum is way too sweet... sorry. This rum needs time in the glass.

Nose: Peach, licorice, anise, strawberry must, banana, disinfectant, background tobacco and hazelnut. Palate: Initially sweet and sticky, definitely not "oily" as some might think. Then immediately chemical-artificial, some hazelnut and despite the extreme sweetness and stickiness also alcoholic. Very poorly integrated alcohol, you have to manage that first with the (alleged) age and extreme sweetness, sad. In the finish, bitterness joins the chemical and alcohol notes, which actually penetrates the sweetness. Terrible, won't come back to my glass. This product is exactly how rum shouldn't be. Has nothing to do with rum and is really undrinkable.

Awful. Not rum. Retaste: okay, 2/10 is very harsh but I'm going to stick with it because it's far far far away from my taste. As I learned it had agreed on sauterne casks, I was interested in treating it again, but there's no our too little hint of sauterne, so I don't understand why, other than it's in interesting experiment that alas failed. So not worth the price. Great that I tasted it twice so I know what to avoid in the future.
