After resting for 15-20 minutes this one will settle a lot and reveal a nicely integrated ABV. Fruity with nice light roasted wood and a touch of caramel. Has a nice warm and woody finish with some chocolate. The empty glass reveals even stronger notes. Price to quality is pretty good.

Delicious and round rum, reminds me directly of Cihuatan rum from El Salvador. Harmonizing notes of fruit, caramel, vanilla and nut, complemented by bitter notes like coffee and chocolate. Marzipan, pineapple and coconut are very evident to me. Increased spice and bitterness in the mouth, but caramel/chocolate/coconut again in the finish. Top!

Lots of coconut, dried fruit and nice wood ripeness. Very well integrated alcohol, nice and warm and full but not complex.Blind I would guess Foursquare, with a slight Demerara impact.A really good sipper, new territory wins the flavor profile but not.

One of the best rums from Belize. A "Spaniard" quite to my taste.

Classic Belize that works well. Not very complex but very greedy. Very pleasant without taking the head.

Tasted together with the Flensburg 2007. Undiluted, it was clear from the Flensburg why the RA was diluted. Similar on the nose. The RA with the fruitier profile, with subtle citrus notes bringing some freshness. Also in the mouth and finish the rusty wood notes do not predominate, but a nice ripe fruit, plus a very light earthy vegetal tea.The Flensburger is overall a bit spicier and dirtier. The profile of the RA with the better balance and more facets. Have a clear winner.

The smell suggests something else on the palate... this fruity soft pleasant and intense odor then changes on the palate into the woody astringent with slight bitterness. But very creamy and discreet! The alcohol is relatively well integrated. The finish remains woody... overall very tasty... I'm glad to have gotten another bottle!Just tasted the rum again to the Flensburger! They are almost identical

Gehaltvoller, sehr runder Belize. Auch hier viel Kokos. Etwas weniger Alkohol dadurch etwas gefälliger. Vanille, Kakao, sehr schöner Rum ohne Überraschungen

Online-Tasting beim Rum-Depot: Kokosbombe!

intense; so similar to Foursquare good high-proof Travellers, but also need time to accept the astringent, time(bottle or glass) are really needed to reduce the alcohol and open up flavor I am willing to repurchase for occasional sipping.

"Relaxed rum with a pronounced coconut note and lots of toffee, but also a certain astringency and bitterness. Very strong for a Spanish style rum. I liked very much"
